Ambassador George presenting his credentials to President Maduro

Former cabinet minister in the current DLP administration, Ambrose George, has been appointed as Dominica’s non-resident ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

George was among six ambassadors who, on the 31st of January, presented their credentials to Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro.

George succeeds Dr. Philbert Aaron who announced in March, 2017 that he was not renewing his contract as Dominica’s ambassador to Venezuela.

Maduro also received the Credentials of the ambassadors of the Republic of Suriname, the Republic of Mozambique, the Republic of Benin, the Republic of Zambia and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

I want aware that there was a recycling plant in Dominica. Is Skerritt attempting to bring back a man the people rejected overwhelmingly via the back door? He needs to go and urge hi seldom and tell Dominica what he was dung in America when he was caught with Julian. If Skerritt had any respect for Dominica and Dominicans he.would not remember that name Ambrose George. Now is not the time for recycled goods. We have enough recycled cars in Dominica. We do not need recycled, immoral and greedy politicians running be ship if state. I hope when UWP regains government the freeze the pension of those vermin along with that of the speaker of the house.

Are we that desperate in Dominica that in this crisis situation in Venezuela we are appointing a new ambassador. Is this an attempt to save face due to our over dependence on Venezuela in recent years? Did we notice that during the State of Union last night the president of the USA made it a point to mention the situation in Venezuela as one of his main concerns in foreign policy. This would seem to indicate that the pressure will not be lifted from Maduro any time soon. Let’s pray for the people of Venezuela, but more so for the people of Dominica that we do not follow suit.

At a time like this Skerrit really announces Ambassador to Venezuela? The question is, is it true that Maduro singlehandedly changed the constitution to exclude the rightfully elected Venezuelan National Assembly just because he lost support there? On top of that he has created a second body to replace the national assembly (comprised of mere yes men), this sounds much like what happened to the IPO in Dominica.

But at least Skerrit even if you don’t want to show non-support for Maduro, do you really have to continue showing support for the real suffering that the poor people of Venezuela are going through?

It seems like every former MP for the labour party that has been given the boot by the electorate or left disgruntled has been given embasadorial post. Who is paying the bill? It seems like people are given position to stay quiet about something or to maintain loyalty. These folks have only one person to be greatful to and it is not Dominica. The longest rope have an end hopefully it is not a noose. They cannot be representing Dominicans after being rejected at ballot. The reward for failure seems to be a sweet deal on the backs of Dominicans. The country seems like it has been imprisoned, doing hard labour and still getting whipped at same time for 18 yrs. Skerrit need to go check his head cause that brother is as psychotic as it gets. I think if Lennox had pushed him a lil more in parliament to answer about his trip to Greece, money from passport and give an account of his trips to Malaysia hatred and venom would pop his eyes out and bust a vein somewhere.

This is very telling when PM Skerrit is willing to used tainted Ambrose as it relates to his previous questionable exposure to international financial misunderstand and make his Ambassador to Venezuela.

Is our PM only attracted to anything that is oppressive in nature and slants towards inexplainable money?

I love it ! Ambrose should move to Caracas immediately and post his address on social media to facilitate his arrests when the US Army arrives. If he needs help he can contact the US embassy in Bdos and the US Special forces that are already in Venezuela preparing for the big day will be directed to help  . I encourage Skerro to join Ambrose and bring the SSU along with Chemical Ali to help Maduro Forces. After all, they sure know how to throw expired teargas. It would be nice to see them toy police -soldiers in action against the US..  . Hurry Amby hurry! Trump “friendly” forces will evacuate you to Alcatraz soon.

Oh, what a thing, all of the major powers of the world: The United States of America, Canada, England France Germany and  every country in the European Union has recognized the the new leader of Venezuela; but as usual the most insignificant person of all who does not play any part in world politics, to decided stand by the fallen dictator.

No world power on the planet recognizes Maduro; Roosevelt must be in defiant of every world power; whether or not there must be a Dominica ambassador to Venezuela or not, I do not see what purpose an old man like Amorous will serve; the man neck can barley support the weight of his head. When the invasion of Venezuela comes along Ambrose will not even be able to run!

Oh, what a thing! That old man should be at home resting his tired body until his time of expiration; rather than allowing Roosevelt to make a comical clown out of him; Maduro is no more, ambassador to what?

My friend they seems to come to their senses, now they say he is a non-resident ambassador. That man is an old man with one foot in the grave, and one and one outside of the grave:

        Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

I doh know what kind of Ambassador de man is eh!

Roosevelt realize when tanks,  start rolling  in and fighter jets commenced buzzing Venezuela, he doh going an have any Dominica jet to rush to Venezuela an vacate we ole-man ambassador, and him cannot run; the alternative will be pulling de other foot in him grave oui!

It is neither amazing nor funny the things that these incompetent comical clowns do in our country. All Roosevelt is doing is giving that man a title to keep him quiet from hanging some of Roosevelt dirty linen out to dry!

I cannot understand someone gave counterfeiter US currency to Dominica students in Cuba, who spend it, and ended up in jail in Cuba, and then we still have him in government.

DNO you rightly described Ambrose George as the “former Minister in the current DLP administration” but DNO the name rings a bell but I am not sure if is the same man that was looking for a bank that never existed. So I am asking, is that the same man that found himself in a situation that has to do with money laundering? If so, please tell him that the Maduro ‘s accounts in the US, UK and EU have all been frozen and when Maduro is finally kicked out he will have to answer questions about money laundering and Dominica will have to come with answers.

Typical and very obvious. These are the guys in Office as Presidents and Prime (Odd) Minister who have failed their countries big time, because of their politically illiteracy and ignorant of the process and discipline development. They have played on the poor and vulnerable just to be office and will have their suffering hungry people shouting “is our Skerrit we love”. Skerrit we love y foot. Wat a waste of stats resources in paying these political clowns big money t work for their respective countries and raise the profile of their people and they out there playing champion of a cause which only benefits them. The more and the longer you keep these poor people in poverty and in hunger and jobless the more the country deteriorates of its resources,.
Its a waste of tie assigning Ambrose, whom we have not heard of for a long now. Where has he been hiding, now resurface to end up in Venezuela`s dictatorial mess under the guise of failed Skerrit and this corrupt incompetent…

Ambrose is either desperate or mad. Dr. Aaron saw the writing on the wall and resigned, smart move. Ambrose had better not be in Venezuela when the American forces get there because let’s not forget that he has a record with the US. Remember when his diplomatic status saved him in Puerto Rico? Diplomatic status won’t have any weight during an overthrow. I wish him all the best.

    • February 6, 2019

U.S. forces won’t go to Venezuela. It would be much cheaper and easier to persuade the Venezuelan military to stop supporting Maduro.

I agree 1000%. This is so true. There must be a better way to get this wasteful, incompetent Papa Dada Chavez and little boy, bus driver Maduro out of the Venezuela`s business. Like Skerrit they have corrupted their Venezuela. Ambrose get the hell out of this nonsense. Ambassador my foot. Who cares. Make Ambrose Ambassador for the village where he comes from. Go clean it up.

I usually agree with your post but you are sadly mistaken this time if you mean that they will not send forces in any capacity. FYI the US Special Forces are already in Venezuela along with their CIA counterparts. I can assure you targeting information is already being collected along with “covert” training to certain individuals. Everything in Venezuela is closely coordinated over time.

That won’t work, the Vene people know their history. the Military is very patriotic, they won’t support an illegal puppet. that’s how Chavez got into power, he won and America tried to take him out, and it did not work then, and it won’t work now. Russia is blocking the US at every turn. they want to rule the entire world. but every empire who attempted that has failed. read your history books people.
