It’s a pity I hadn’t commented on this post then. What is Ironic in all of this is that their last brother (Polo for Decormis) died by Suicide, by taking his own life at his family’s property in Picard, I believe his Aunt. He drank a weedicide substance used in killing bacteria or insect around bananas the name of it is called Vydatel pink in color if my memory serves me correctly. So this poor hard working Mother I remember her Ma Zetty not sure if she is still alive lost two son’s. Her first son is Frederick and he lived at one mile agricultural station taking care of the Government’s pigs and farm there. Their only sister Grace Watty a veteran Teacher of 40 years served P.S.S. Now I am thinking of all this after seeing this post because I was thirteen years at the time it brings back a lot of memories, especially in regards to Polo. In order to keep this post as per DNO guidelines I’ll stop here, but what I have to say is fascinating and absolutely truthful to that Community.

MR.Stupidness, let me inform you, We can view DNO ALL IN THE Netherlands. He don’t have to be from your country to view his comment. Every one have there on view, please repect that. I am a born Dominican who lives in the netherlandse.I know one mile. This man was missing did his families, friends and authorities with thier K9 join together and search that area knowning he went to his garden at one mile.Maybe they would have seen him. In Europe when bodies are being found decompose already. The cops do mension the last clothing, tatoo,or body piercing ect by families or close friends of the dicease, it could be the decease thruogh the above mension, forensic will give further report. The families will pray is not there love-one, But in the mean time they should be preparing for the worst.Dominica have to run a forensic checkup before the true ID of this man is proof is really him. Before they buried a wrong person, it happen in the Dominican Rep.

I got several telephone calls stating that Jones body were found at One Mile.

I was very sad to learn of his demise as we grew up in Rolo Street Zicack, attended the Portsmouth St.John’s Shool and were classmates and he was a also a very good friend of my deceased brother.

If it is his body, I am extending my hand of and with deepest sympathy, words cannot express my sadness. Words escape me feelings run high I donot really know what to say as I feel your loss losing someone dear is the hardest time when everything else just doesnot matter.

Life seems so pointless but I believe that one day we will all be together the love that you shared will never fade away. May these words comfort you and give you strength in your time of needs to his Mother Mrs.Zetty, Brother Frederick and Sister Grace Christine) and the rest of the family.

We should try to understand that there are not much
our police department can do without our government
Giving them the proper training and equipments to w

I wish for the sake of this mans family, that they are able to identify the remains, may it be by shoes, pants, DNA dentals record!… because a missing person/family is hard to deal with, any unusual sound reminds you of that person…and honestly a pant and shoes is A LOT to go with, DNO did not identify the shoes and pants…that I can guaranty..

PLEASE Dominican let us not always label our country and it people as the worse…when all our only powee are our little fingers on the computer, If DNO did not report! most people would have remarks/comments to make…and negative ones at that…

    DNO stated….According to reports….

Watty’s remains have been taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Police say their investigations are continuing.
    Then……wait for the final report…

It’s no about us….some of us just like attention…

Whoever he was, whatever he did and however he died, I feel sorry about it. No one should die in such a manner and alone, under the circumstances. He did not deserve it, most of all in the eyes of God. I hope the Lord had mercy on his soul. Only God and the soul know where he is. On Judgment Day we will know.

      January 25, 2014

@ Texan hush your silly mouth. Dominicans don’t read, they don’t inform themselves for the most part and just blurt out garbage and feel they are informed. Who told you that dummy? As recent as this past week missing severely autistic boy Avonte Oquendo, remains were identified pending DNA test which came back conclusive, merely by the T-shirt and sneakers he was wearing.A teen walking along a Queens beach saw what she determined were human remains a limb no less, and called the authorities. Within days the NYPD officers braved the frigid waters and recovered more remains. Before the DNA test was done, the missing boys attorney announced to the media that everything including the shoe size thus far and given them every reason to believe it was the boys’ remains. So that shuts down all your ignorant ranting and the others like you. NYC is bursting at its’seams with people who could all be wearing sneakers and t-shirts that size, yet with no DNA it was already predetermined that the child met a tragic end. Don’t believe Google the darn story and stop talking backward nonesense.

      January 25, 2014

What’s your problem nah? You just want people to know you in America and know a little thing. Go to a forensic lab and see if you get a job and stop trying to come on DNO showing off. Dominica in not backward and you can’t compare Dominica to America. One man gone missing on the island since last year and he was wearing a blue shirt with khaki pants and navy blue shoes. What the hell dental records you talking about? I could understand if more than one persons had gone missing . How many dental records do you have back in Dominica? Soon you will ask for DNA. When some people leave Dominica and go overseas it’s like they get brainwashed …they forget where they came from. I’ve been in the U.S for over 20yrs and to me it seems like I left Dominica yesterday.

 People people If that’s the report DNO got from the police, What can DNO say. I am in defense of DNO today :-D “Give jack his jacket” What the police should have said or what should be stated here is simply. ” The remains of a Dead person or a decomposing body was found in so and so place. The Clothing on the decomposed body matches those which were reported of a missing man from so and so place back in July of 2013. The police investigation is on going Thank you…..RIP sir RIP

I know everyone saying why others did not take the smell. Well, One mile is very big and where he was found is bushy with hills and also it is a vast area, so it would be unlikely someone would smell anything and remember they had a lot of rain last year, this did not help the situation. Rip to Jones and condolences to the family. You are in a better place.

Helping Our Lord Jesus Christ to save souls. Those who pray it will receive His blessings while on earth and at the hour of death:

You are getting older like the rest of us. Some people die and some are born every day. I too remember deaths as being rare as a child, but the cemetery was also full with graves.

I remember All Saints or is it All Souls? That was a big Feast of the Catholic Church and the Cemetery used to be lighted up with candles. I remember everyone I knew had someone who had died and had candles to light on at least one grave.

Today on these Feasts, many graves have no lights, it is sad really, because most of the dead have no one to put a candle on their graves; their living relatives are overseas; or have joined other religions that does not recognize the All Saints and All Souls.

Today we hear more of deaths because of TV and internet and radio and all the death announcements.

Dental records in Dominica? Slim chance. A lot of people in Dominica simply don’t go to dentist. Therefore, they have to use pant and shoes. Lol. January 24, 2014

FYI @ Care.. actually a Preliminary I.D. can be done on a cadaver/corpse the correct term which should have been used, prior to a postmortem.Last known clothing, distinguishing marks i.e. tattoos, birth marks etc known to the individual prior to disappearance are key markers. Postmortems are done to establish likely cause of death. DNA is used to establish the true identity of the person, mainly used when all else fails.e.g. remains are beyond identification.

I tried posting this before and got a message that I already did? Glitch I suppose. Hope this helps you.

Yes! It could be done even in a progressive country, if this is all they have to go on if no DNA. All the authorities need is confirmation of what he was wearing, from the family or others who last saw him. Otherwise he will be named John Doe and may remain in the mortuary for a very long time. They could not keep him unburied forever. Then the city will have to bury him as John Doe.
