(CNN) — The most prominent face of terror in America and beyond, Osama Bin Laden, has been killed in Pakistan, U.S. officials said Sunday night.
Bin Laden was the leader of al Qaeda, the terrorist network behind the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. U.S. officials said that their forces have the body of bin Laden.
The enormity of the destruction — the World Trade Center’s towers devastated by two hijacked airplanes, the Pentagon partially destroyed by a third hijacked jetliner, a fourth flight crashed in rural Pennsylvania, and more than 3,000 people killed — gave bin Laden a global presence.
Haha Bin Laden is alive. The USA are capable of corruption on astronomical levels. They could have bought the silence of Bin Laden and Pakistan, he could have died years ago and they are now using this to orchestrate a second term- politics is a dirty, dirty game! Death of Osama bin Laden. Welcome news for the world.
This is good news, relayed primarily by CNN. The world should be rejoicing as many are doing. One terrorist is no more.
Last evening I happened to switch to CNN and heard that President Obama would be addressing Americans, the world in general about a security concern at 10:30 pm. Speculation ran high as to what this security concern is all about.
Having waited for almost an hour in eager anticipation of this news to know what it was all about, CNN, no doubt, got the OK from the White House to inform viewers.
CNN stated that the President and/or his administration were communicating to all concerned about this news. This was obviously the reason for the delay.
Journalists and reporters were informed to get to work.
John King appeared to have been given the authority to relay the news to viewers. When he stated that Osama bin Laden was murdered I was elated. I thought this is good news. I could not wait for further details.
Finally, President Obama spoke to the world and confirmed that Osama bin Laden was dead. You know the rest.
God is patient and we must do our utmost to be patient. Terrorists are quite capable of hiding where they may never be found. Those nationals who are his supporters and sympathizers obviously did a good job about hiding him for 10 years. He was right under their noses and some were not aware of it.
He escaped being caught. It was only a matter of time that Osama would be caught, dead or alive. Better to have him dead to avoid court cases, etc. which would be a waste of taxpayers money. My instinct informs me that the aim was to kill him. I wholeheartedly endorsed it.
9-11 is vivid in my mind, when I recall viewing and hearing what those victims went through. If some of us were not personally affected, we must contemplate on what transpired that day and visualize the anxiety, pain, suffering and grief of those who were specifically caught in that inferno and how they strived to keep alive but some succumbed to the height of their escapade, smoke, fumes, high temperature and fire as they tried to escape. Some people jumped from those floors and were killed.
Consider too the wives, husbands, other members of their family as also their children, who have lost their loved ones never to see them again. This is real pain and long-term suffering and mourning.
I was told that there were two Dominicans who died in that inferno. One was a young man who worked in an office. Another was a woman who worked in a restaurant in the Penthouse or a top floor. A friend who resides in New York City sent me a picture of the young man. I know a few members of his family. I still have that picture which I placed in a folder with other ones of deceased relatives and friends, the Mass/Service programs which I also attended. Whenever I open the folder, his picture is prominent and is a great reminder of what occurred on 9-11 and his sufferings. I re-live that moment as I also viewed on TV. I have no idea if their bodies were found.
A N.Y. Priest died of a heart attack while administering to victims on that day.
We have reasons to be happy that Osama was caught and is dead. Dead to the world and for all eternity.
We Christians are taught never rejoice at the dilemmas of others. We are also told we should not judge but in view of this man, Osama’s wickedness, indoctrinating and training terrorists, encouraging them and young people at that, plotting and arranging terrorisms worldwide as some utilized the US taxpayers’ funds, having been given financial help to train as pilots, murdering thousands of people who especially did nothing to him but for the wickedness of his heart, this is one soul who will never see the daylight of Heaven. This wicked man who has orchestrated the murder of numerous lives has gone to his eternal judgment – Hell.
Those who live by the sword will die by the sword. Osama could not hide forever. I had confidence that sooner or later he would be caught.
When we forgot, the U.S. President, FBI and other authorities did not forget. They were working behind the scenes. Keep this in mind when they are criticized and for not catching Osama. A lot is happening that we are not aware of. Obviously they are not privy to relaying their actions in trying to catch Osama and other terrorists.
Osama did not allow people of the Western World to live in peace. His life was that of terrorism, a great menace to society.
Note what travelers have to go through at airports, all because of Osama and his followers. We have every reason to be angry with them.
God will forgive some people but He will not forgive those who have committed such atrocious crimes/sins and who died in that state. They have greatly offended Him by not loving their brothers and sisters.
Osama, as any soul has to give God an account of the allotted time He gave them. Osama chose to spend his life in deceit and wickedness. He had nothing good, mortally and spiritually to present to God when He died.
God is patient. He is waiting for the day when we die to mete out His fair and just recompense as we deserve. There are those who get a taste of it while on earth and as they age.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Vengeance is Mine! I will repay!”
He said to Osama: “Amen! Amen! I do not know you! Depart from Me ye cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
People must keep in mind that it pays to live a law-abiding loving life and to do good to others.
It is better to do good than to do evil; far better for at the end of our lives what we sow, we shall surely reap and two-fold.
St. Paul said: “Nothing defiled will ever enter Heaven. No murderer will ever enter Heaven.”
Also, “Strive for peace with everyone for without that holiness no one sees the Lord.”
Those who teach and think otherwise deceive themselves by their false teachings.
I hope and pray others who have such tendencies will take note and reform their lives and live productive lives for the building-up of society, not tearing it down and destroying it. This is not our purpose in life. It is not what God meant when He created human beings. Today, in this progressive society, we should know better and act accordingly.
We were created to love God with all our hearts and souls, to worship Him and to live in peace and harmony, contributing to the good of all, the world in general and to live happily with God forever in Heaven.
How sad that some people as Osama have forfeited that godly privilege forever which God gave us.
Life is precious as given to us by God. What a waste of life to live in enmity with people who have not done them any harm and to end up in Satan’s cauldron of everlasting fire. Satan is only laughing, sneering and taunting them for their faithlessness and wickedness of heart, which he himself has implanted in their hearts.
I would not wish this eternal banishment and punishment on anyone.
Better to follow the ways of God and the path which He has set for us, the latter that the Ever Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, said to a visionary which is a message for us all.
Praise to Thee O Lord of glory, our impartial, fair and just God. Loving thanks to do Thee we bring…! You who are faithful and true to Your teachings and promises will come through. We give You thanks and praised. In Your time and without you and your help, this wicked man could never have been caught. The world has one less terrorist, a number one enemy, who has met with justice.

Better believe that the U.S. could have done so a long time ago but it has been hesitating due to critics’ opinion. After what occurred in Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. is wary of interfering. Otherwise rest assured that Gaddafi would have been dead a long time ago. People should not mess around with the U.S. and underestimate it. Bin Laden was an international distraction – constantly the focus of some war or search – and responsible for major unpleasant (some unnecessary) changes in international travel.
