ADVERTORIAL: Marpin eases the squeeze this holiday season

Marpin 2K4 has reduced advertising rates for businesses in its “Ease the Squeeze” holiday promotion.

Rates for advertising on its Graphic Channel have been slashed by 50 percent while rates for spot ads, airtime and crawls on Channel 5 have been reduced by 25 percent.

Marpin’s Public Relations Representative, Marie-Antoinette Mora, says, “We have reduced advertising rates substantially for businesses during the holiday season in our “Ease the Squeeze” promotion.   It’s Marpin’s way of saying thank you to our business clients who have supported us throughout the year and also to encourage smaller businesses to get their message out there and gain that competitive advantage.  Advertisers may contact Marpin’s Advertising Department at 500-4107, Ext. 4141, 4135 or 4131.”

Ms. Mora added that there is something in it for Marpin’s Cable TV and Internet customers as well.  Persons signing up for PiNG!net will get FREE INSTALLATION and customers who zero their balance for 2010 by December 10 will get a chance to win a MINI LAPTOP!

“Marpin bills in arrears so payment for December is due by January 10, 2011 but anyone who clears their entire bill for 2010 by December 10, that is including their December payment, will get a chance to win a mini laptop.  Plus all Marpin’s customers who are in good standing get a chance to win a FLAT SCREEN TV or MINI LAPTOP in Marpin’s GRAND DRAW in January so we encourage everyone to come into Marpin’s office today.  Don’t delay!”

Marpin’s “Ease the Squeeze” promotion continues until January 6.  All advertising bookings made before January 6, 2011 will be honoured at the reduced rates.

I’m not surprised Marpin are slashing their ad rates. Are they doing us a favor or is noone interested in placing ads and they had to make drastic descsions. What is the point of advertising your business when the quality, in terms of sound, ghosting and picture quality is soooo bad. I think they have concentrated so much on promoting the Ping brand that they have totally forgotten about the cable tv side. Marpin has hiked up their rates but what are we getting – all the stations are never running for the month and the same episodes repeated over and over again. Also, what’s up with the news – its never on time, they can’t get the volume right, poor quality picture, zero content. You should be able to set your watch by the evening news, it should be that consistent on the hour!!!! I think come the New Year a lot of people will be looking more closely at what SAT is offering as an alternative, it can’t be worse!
