Staff there have been protesting against late salary payments since Monday.

General Manager of the Public Works Corporation Eddie Henry has confirmed that about 80 percent of the staff called in sick on Wednesday, effecting operations at the company.

Eddie Henry is a good man and manager and it’s a shame that he is part of that PWC mess that this DLP government created. Eddie please leave Skerrit mess for him to sort out, don’t turn grey in the position.

You see that is part of the problem. Ghaddarkhan has plenty of capacity at Layou, is closer to the job, is allowed to operate and can produce asphalt cheaper than PWC. God only knows why they lumbered themselves with the asphalt plant near Colihaut, which they have poroblems paying for.

Is it true that Cabinet agreed to sell the PWC location to Chinese interests for $5 million and that they have not located an alternative site yet?

Pay the blasted people their money and end of story … pretending as it D/ca is a bed of roses, and asking for clen sweep . clean sweep for continued hunger, pain, no salary, no jobs, nothing! The Gov’t and PWD are doing the right thing .. they should continue to work for no pay and complain not. Wicked souls! These are the things they should be protesting and shouting about but here they are in lagoon, shouting and celebrating for a court victory, so called, they do not have a clue of what went on or what the issues were or even why the matter was decided the way it was but instead .. I love my PM, my foot!!!

Do allu research……..Dominica owes the IMF almost 1billion dollars and Dominica is the poorest island in the Eastern Caribbean. All I want to know is who going and pay that when the PWC haven’t been paid since January. My people wake up from you all dream..

Agriculture is the backbone of our country. We need to devote more energy in farming the land. Our young workforce rather spend time in security or otherwise just waste time, whilst our neighbouring islands calling for food. Just let another island capture the market then we will want to pass on blame.

My friends, if this is the situation at Public Works, why is the government blowing its own trumpet and claiming that Dominica is doing super well in terms of its economy due to ‘prudent financial management’??????????? Why is it that Dominica is not feeding itself from within, but instead is importing exorbitant amounts of food from outside the country?????? Why is it that things are so expensive?????? There is so much that could be said but I will leave it alone……..talking about it makes me sick to the stomach!!!!!! So many people struggling to survive, crime sky rocketing, agriculture struggling, government ministers and cronies are getting fat on their salaries, lawyers for the government are getting even fatter and the poor man standing in Lagoon shouting ‘I love my PM, long live my PM’ while he laughs at you alls’ ignorance and you all are thinking ‘Oh what a lovely man……..look at his sexy dimples’!!!! My goodness, God save us from tragedy and may the truth be told!!!!!!1
