Digicel to collaborate with the artiste and fine-tune his jingle

Tuesday5thJuly 2016 – Roseau, Dominica: Budding artiste Asher Thomas,earned his way to first place in the Digicel Bring the Beat Jingle Contest, securing a partnership with the telecommunications company, ECD$2,000 and a Samsung Galaxy S7 with free data.

Asher was among 10 participants selected to move on to the finals of the contest through which creative pieces of various music genres, were submitted. The up-and-coming singer and musicianis overjoyed that his jingle has been chosen as the winning piece and will be featured on Digicel programs and in its marketing campaigns.

Asher comments; “I can’t even explain it. It’s exciting. Nothing happens before its time. I decided to take part in the jingle competition and now I’ve come out on top”. He views the win as a great achievement and his “driving force” in the field of music.

The Bring the Beat jingle contest was launched as part of Digicel’s 10th anniversary celebration this year. Participants were asked to submit a one–minute jingle highlighting the company’s services and tagline. Second place went to Jordan Jerome, while artiste,Lyrique was came in third place.

Digicel’s Marketing Manager Nathalie Walsh said; “Since 2006, Digicel has created countless opportunities to reward customers in Dominicaand connect with ourcommunity and this jingle competition was a great way to put Dominica’s talent in the spotlight. So congratulations to Asher; we are looking forward to working with him in the very near future, as well as with as well as with the other artistes who made the top six. ”
