BUSINESS BYTE: Digicel Business launches video surveillance solution

Digicel_flag_Digicel Business today revealed details of its latest business solutions product, Digicel Eye, which sees customers across the region benefiting from always-on video surveillance that is accessible from any mobile device – delivering peace of mind 24/7.

Digicel Eye makes it easier for customers to keep track of their business operations and is delivered as a fully managed service without the expense and hassle of hardware purchase, installation and maintenance. It comes with round the clock customer support as well as “storage in the cloud” – eliminating the possibility of data loss when customers need it most – in the event of a natural disaster, physical damage or theft.

Digicel Business CEO, Paul Osborne, said; “Digicel Eye is the next generation in surveillance solutions for businesses. It provides our customers with peace of mind and delivers a world-class, hassle free service as well as a team of experts to handle any issues that may arise. Digicel Business is providing this service in partnership with Genetec – global leaders in IP security and accredited by the US Department of Homeland Security. Its solution is powered by the latest Stratocast technology which offers a number of unique features that can be accessed from multiple devices anywhere in the world – allowing customers to monitor, tag, share and export their video clips wherever they are in the world.”

Digicel Eye uses the latest technology in cloud-computing platforms to eliminate the need for on-premise servers and storage, making it easier, cheaper and more reliable than traditional offerings. The solution comes with a wide range of high definition video surveillance equipment tailored to individual needs. Customers can also access video footage 24/7 via their tablet, laptop or mobile phone.

It would be great if this service is offered for home surveillance as well, as these days persons have no respect for your property, home robbery is becoming so common in this country now.

Wow! Them man putting the local security firms providing these services out of business.

There is no way the local security firms can compete on pricing as they are up against a company (Digicel) who is receiving costing base on its collective customers across all its markets.
