Digicel Dominica CEO, Richard Stanton, lauded the event organisers for staging such a successful show year after year and stated that Digicel was proud to be a part of its success, saying “We are proud to be a major supporter of the World Creole Music Festival which showcases the best musical talent that Dominica and world has to offer. This year, the Digicel Business team took the opportunity to host its corporate customers and other distinguished members of the business community at the festival which has been promoting the development of Dominica’s culture for many years.”

On the first day of the festival, guests were asked to put their names in a special box for a chance to win a prize. The winner of the prize was Courts Dominica representative, Jennifer Raymond, who won a Samsung Galaxy Note II.

The 17th annual World Creole Music Festival saw thousands of people come out to enjoy indigenous music from all over the world including Dominica, France, Haiti, Jamaica, Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago. For three days, the crowds were wowed by performances from popular international recording artists like Bracket, Busy Signal, Carimi, Kassav, Machel Montano, Swingin’ Stars, Triple Kay Global and WCK.
