BUSINESS BYTE: LIME is Platinum sponsor of the Real Mas 2014

lime logoLIME Dominica has again answered the call for corporate support towards the staging of Dominica’s carnival activities for 2014. The leading telecommunications provider in Dominica is the Platinum sponsor of the ‘Real Mas’ celebrations being staged under the theme ‘Nou Konnet Viv’.

LIME Dominica’s General Manager Jeffrey Baptiste says LIME continues to recognize the importance of maintaining the island’s rich culture and heritage through this major investment. “Carnival is an important aspect of the historical journey as a Caribbean nation. It holds a prominent place on our calendar of activities, and as a company we are committed to protect, promote and enhance this important aspect of our cultural heritage ”, Baptiste said.

Baptiste also confirmed LIME’s partnership with the Dominica Calypso Association (DCA) as the headline presenting sponsor of this year’s calypso competitions, and the continued assistance to the LEO Club of Dominica for staging of the Junior Calypso Monarch.

Baptiste believes calypso forms an integral part of the Carnival celebrations and deserves the support from LIME for both the Senior and Junior competitions. “Calypso is the foundation on which we build our carnival activities, and therefore LIME is happy to contribute to the success of calypso this year, particularly to the younger generation tasked with the responsibility of adding towards the development and sustainability of the art form”, Baptiste said.

Meantime, Head of Marketing Kareem Guiste said customers can expect great promotional offers from LIME this carnival including opportunities to win Samsung Galaxy tablets, handsets, top-up, costumes and tickets to the various shows sponsored by LIME among other fantastic prizes during LIME’s WIN BIG THIS CARNIVAL campaign. Customers qualify by topping-up $15 or more or by paying their bills in full and on time. LIME customers can also text ‘I Love Carnival’ to 2269 to qualify for other amazing deals and offers from LIME this carnival.

LIME has been investing in Dominica’s carnival for decades and looks forward to a successful 2014 Real Mas celebration of activities.
