One of Dominica’s most popular jewelry and appliance store, Universal Elegance (The Muslim Store) has cut its profit margin for the month of September, making shopping affordable for customers.
According to a male employee of the store, this initiative began on August 29 and is expected to run through the month of September.
“Prices are reduced on basically all appliances sold at the store, including computers, refrigerators, 32-inch Japanese brand flat screen LED TV costing $1,239 with VAT included, tablets costing $299.99 among other items,” he explained.
He further stated that jewelry cost is reduced to 35 percent. “Gold, silver, stainless steel diamonds…, while prices of watches are down to 40 percent,” he said.
Isn’t this called a sale? Don’t other stores do the same? What am I missing here?
