National Bank of Dominica Ltd (NBD) remains committed to its mandate to help customers increase their personal wealth by educating and guiding them on pertinent matters.
In this vein, NBD hosted its first Open House for home owners and potential home owners, on July 7, 2016 at the Goodwill Parish Hall. It was a free event which sought to educate the public about what to expect during the construction process; and how NBD and other stakeholders can assist. The two-part event consisted of presentations and a mini trade show.
The Bank partnered with several professionals in the construction industry: Architect, Mr. Severin McKenzie; Quantity Surveyor, Mr. Claxton Joseph; Energy Management Solutions (EMS); and several Insurance Agencies.
According to the Executive Manager Marketing and Product Management of NBD, Mrs. Suzanne Piper, the Bank realized that many people are unfamiliar with the process that leads to home ownership and saw it fit to collaborate with professionals in the industry, to educate the public about what to expect. She said, “It is important for us as a financial partner, to build a relationship with our customers so they can successfully achieve their dreams.”
NBD’s Credit and Business Development Manager of NBD, Mrs. Minerve Blanchard encouraged the audience to engage their banker very early on in the process of home ownership, whether they are purchasing or constructing their home. “We give personalized service to ensure that your process is seamless; from purchasing your land to moving into your home.”
Mr. Edwards, the Bank’s Managing Director, was very ecstatic about the impact and success of the event. “Home ownership is one of the most significant investments many of us will ever make and the presenters helped the audience understand the process from the beginning. We are happy that the participants left here more informed and educated about the process that leads to home ownership.”
NBD thanks the public for turning out in such large numbers, the presenters, partners and media for making the event a success.
