Economic citizens to visit Dominica; PM Skerrit warns against hostility

passport moneyBusinessmen who received citizenship under Government’s Citizenship Program (CIP) in Europe and Asia are expected to visit Dominica soon to assist in areas in need.

Speaking at a groundbreaking ceremony of the new West Bridge last week, Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, urged Dominicans to welcome the visitors without hostility.

“I do not want them to arrive in Dominica to an environment of hostility, anger or hatred. I want them to feel welcomed and appreciated,” he warned.

Skerrit said some of these new citizens have never visited Dominica, but they are proud and grateful for this new sense of belonging and they are eager to contribute even more, and on a sustained basis, to the development of the country.

“Indeed, some of our agents abroad are in the process of assembling a group of professionals, who are also new citizens, to visit Dominica, to identify and appreciate areas of need where they can assist and lend of their many years of collective training and experience,” he said. “They will be coming to Dominica, at their own expense, for a few days, to determine how, as doctors, engineers, architects, scientists, educators, horticulturists and environmentalists, they can help in fast forwarding the development of our country.”

His advice to those “who seem to make a favorite past-time of tearing down Dominica” is, “to cease and desist from this less than desirable conduct.”

“Our progress as a nation is being stymied and stifled as a result of the constant negative publicity the country is receiving, at the instigation of persons who are paid by the State, to promote its best interest,” Skerrit stated. “This evening, for example, were we in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Bridgetown, Barbados or even Castries, St. Lucia, the news tomorrow, next week or next month would be that the country is getting a spanking new, structurally appealing bridge, that welcomes locals and visitors alike, to the capital city.”

If you see a Dominican Economic Citizen of Arabic aspect, do remember to enquire of them whether they have a child bride, or indeed intend to have one soon.

Remember, the Arab countries folk who are mainly our new passport holders, can marry kids at any age (1, 2, 3 12 – all is fine!) quite legally and have all kinds of sex with them even buggery.

So now Dominica is known internally for supporting child sex via its Economic and Sexual Enablement Passport Scheme.

    Isn’t this sad??

Dominicans love to admire other countries but have no PRIDE in theirs. Our greatest resource is used to tear down our country with our tongues not knowing the serious consequences it can cause.

If it takes new citizens to build up the country to keep it going, I give them my full support and will work with these new positive minded people.

DOMINICA will go no where if we listen to op-posers

\”Out of the mouth of babes\” the mistake that was made 20 years ago when Dominicans decided to give the young man a chance because he has dimples and he handsome; no other qualifications were put forward. The guy has constantly referred to constructive criticisms of his administration as bad-mouthing the country. Question must be asked why is the PM asking the citizens not to be hostile and angry? What is the hidden agenda master of propaganda? It is not in the nature of Dominicans to be angry with persons who are here to help improve the life of it\’s citizens. You are so full of yourself that you have begun to believe your lies and propaganda; be real for once.

Talk about Leadership Style..Skerrit could simply allow these people to come in and do their business and go on their merry way..no need for admonishing people to be calm as if by nature Dominicans are hostile people…In Fact isn’t that what they’re supposed to do? Are they not to come and invest?

The Nature Isle being slowly taken over, in the politics, economics, social and cultural spheres. It is happening right under our noses, in our faces.

Just as in the days of chattel Slavery, there were Black folks, who having allowed themselves to be enslaved, did the biddings of their masters, no questions asked. Trinkets, little advantages, given by Massa, for their loyalty and consistency, in helping with the abominable enslavement of their own.

Today repeat of the colonial mentality. New kind of enslavement. Forget already the horrors? Those who are EYEING our NATURE ISLE, those who with their $$$$$, purchased our passport, for that New kind of SLAVERY. Sold to new Masters.

Sovereignty gone. A nation molded into Zombies by one man?. So kneel to your new Masters

You have been prepared, over the years, through MENTAL ENSLAVEMENT, you in check, while the grounds have been preparing for the NEO-COLONIALISTS, the new kind of SLAVE MASTERS.

How is it that a Prime Minister of Dominica can also be the minister of finance? Something is up with that, no Prime minister should also be allowed to control a countries treasury, it opens up the possibility for too much crockery and miss-approbations of taxpayers monies out of the treasury into the pockets of politicians for their own use. At no time should any countries leader have sole control over the treasury. The Dominica treasury should be over flowing with the cash from the building from the sales of passports.

This really saddens me. It seems that “citizens” who acquired their citizenship with money are superior to those who acquired it by birth. Unfortunate statement, creating division, declaring a superior class of “Dominican” just because they have money. Our governments have betrayed us.

My Dominican family, the time has come for us to begin a process of

forward mobility for all of our people by changing our mindset, so to

benefit from the blessings we were given by God Almighty, and not by

man. A process that will in no way discredit the good that our

governments have done, yet, one of identification of the current

affairs of the state we now have to live with. To initiate a process of

bringing the conscious minded citizens who will genuinely sacrifice

their personal agendas for the national good of our people. Finally,

one of consolidation with regards to those who posses the knowledge of

real solutions to make a significant change, by discontinuing “to

nurture ignorance and dependency..,” also sufficient skills and

expertise so that proper strategies be put in place to put the power of

prosperity back in the hands of our people.

This is shameful and hurtful. For years many highly qualified Dominicans have been begging to come home to play the role as qualified engineers, doctors, and other professionals. But most are met with hostility, resentment and all manners of obstruction. And now suddenly the doors are flung open to embrace these foreigners who purport to want to do the same thing. Jah what is it about us that make us so subservient to the “other” but so dismissive of our own kind? This is a sad turn of affairs in DA. Second class citizenry appears to be on the horizon. Sad, sad, day. How much more short-sighted and irresponsible can our current leadership get?.

If that was true, how come you have not named the area of need they are going to assist with, you are simply spewing more of your ridiculous nonsense as usual!

Roosevelt when economic citizenship is granted to anyone that recipient must be resident in the country, and has investments in the country, prior to the issuance of citizenship. Your business is simply the sale of our nations passports for a price to the highest bidder, of which more than half of the proceeds finds its way into the pockets of the salesmen and women.

The country benefits very little form such sale; besides the criminals who buy Dominica passports indulge in the practice to find an easy way to move around committing crimes, and involved in all sorts of illegal activities!

I expect I’ll be downvoted into oblivion for this, but I don’t think “warned” is the right word. A warning carries with it an implicit threat. Skerrit’s remarks as you’ve reported them didn’t do that: they weren’t menacing, they were merely a statement of preference and counsel.

They should leave our passports at the Police HQs. Skerrit should pay them back their money from his pocket and they should return from whence they came. Period!!

Is it true that a Morocco is looking to open an embassy in Dominica soon?
Is it true that a prominent Iranian business man is already resident In Dominica?
Do we have to issue a tender for the construction of a mosque in Dominica?
These are only questions, for the govt. etiher to confirm, deny as nonsense or remain silent on.

Does Roseau have a mosque? Most of the terrorists in the Paris and Brussels attacks had a Moroccan background. Whenver Skerrit open his mouth he makes things worse.

Skerrit how about you round up all those traitors and put them in stock farm. Since when have Dominicans been hostile to visitors. These people could come to Dominica and no one would know who they are. However you have elevated them over the engineers and doctors and scientists in Dominica because you believe in keeping born Dominican down. Now that they are citizens they have to experience what people living all thier lives in Dominica face daily. Not the lies to told them. No one knows they are coming but you. So how can people instigate trouble. You planting seeds of hate and division by this very announcement and it is frankly annoying.

People of Dominica, the time has come for us to begin a process of forward mobility for all of our people by changing our mindset, so to benefit from the blessings we were given by God Almighty, and not by man. A process that will in no way discredit the good that our governments have done, yet, one of identification of the current
affairs of the state we now have to live with. To initiate a process of bringing the conscious minded citizens who will genuinely sacrifice their personal agendas for the national good of our people. Finally, one of consolidation with regards to those who posses the knowledge of real solutions to make a significant change, by discontinuing “to nurture ignorance and dependency..,” also sufficient skills and expertise so that proper strategies be put in place to put the power of prosperity back in the hands of our people.

A new wind, and leaders of change are on the horizon, orchestrated by the Almighty.

      May God bless Dominica

“This evening, for example, were we in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Bridgetown, Barbados or even Castries, St. Lucia, the news tomorrow, next week or next month would be that the country is getting a spanking new, structurally appealing bridge, that welcomes locals and visitors alike, to the capital city.”

so spanking new bridge to same ole roseau? same sidewalks? vagrants? drains?

as for new citizens – no hostility towards them if Dominica was not selling space they would not be here. any hostility has to be directed at the government not ECONOMIC CITIZENS.
