H.E Ambassador Jose Marcos Nogueira Viana said that we live in a new world where emerging powers are doing much better than established economies hence why his government has decided to open embassies in each country in the Caribbean.
“We as individuals are responsible for creating poverty when we refuse to help our neighbour, when we act egoistically by not helping other nations overcome economic difficulties, by thinking that development can be achieved alone and not as a group. Mr. President, Brazil is of the view that in order to be great, in order to develop itself, it needs to grow together with its neighbours. And the Caribbean is our neighbourhood. That is why my Government has decided to open embassies in each and every country of the Caribbean,” he noted.
The New Ambassador stated the interest of Brazil is in cultivating friendly ties.
“That is why I bring the friendly hand of the Brazilian people to shake hands with your people, Mr. President. The greatness of our countries rests on working together towards a common goal: the one of providing our people with a better life in which each and every one of us could fulfil our dreams of prosperity,” he said.
