King Garment Security officers get training

Security officers at training

Security officers employed at Kings Garment Security have recently undergone a training session aimed at better equipping them for their responsibilities.

Dominica News Online met with the proprietor of Kings Garment Security Petit-Louis Acceus for an exclusive interview in which he mentioned that the security training for his officers was done in order them to better understand their responsibilities as security officers.

“First of all it was a big day for Kings Garment Security. We’ve been trying to get training like that for a long time, because you cannot have a security company just to employ people and just direct the workers to work security. The security officers have to understand what security is. Security officers have big responsibilities, first to protect the clients and to protect themselves in the process. They have to be vigilante to prevent crime as well as respond to it when it does occur. I want for my security company to take the next step so that’s why we did the training,” said Acceus.

Acceus was grateful to the two facilitators who offered their services voluntarily to assist with the training session.

He stated, “We had the Deputy Chief of security for Ross University and former Superintendent of Police Nicholas George as the facilitators for us in training. Some of the guys have reported that this is the first time that they are getting such training, including those who were security officers before. I know that this is a big contribution towards their development and I want to thank the facilitators for the help that they offered voluntarily.”

Acceus made known his intent to establish his company as one of the top security agencies in Dominica, now and for the future. He said that he wants to ensure that the services that his company offers keep his clients happy and raises the overall sense of security in the country as a whole.

He concluded, “From the time I started the company, my clients have been very happy and it is because they are happy that I have been trying to upgrade the service that we offer to keep their businesses safe.”

:) The best thing in life is not for free and in life we all go through problems. In life we have to work as one and god will bless us,stop the fighting and be good so god will bless us all.Mr king is one of the few men in the country who has given people jobs, please stop the back bitting and move on.Mr king is a good man and has respect for others just like his own,It’s not about race or colour we all must live as one.for god see’s us all as one body no one person is more special than the other in the sight of the great god.Mr king has given dominican’s and the haitians the same reason to move on with a great job and money in your pocket. So in my own opinion give the man a chanc to do what he has to do,and the people how don’t like it get a real job and stop the hating live on and god bless.

First of all i must compliment Kings Garment for being successful if he has earned it honestly and truthfully. For teaching and showing us how to strive if he has done it honestly.I would also want to ask how many of u knows whether Petit-Louis Acceus is telling the truth, don’t call me jealousy.I findhim very fortunate to have been so successful in such a short space of time. One thing i can say is that some Haitians can be so con and can do anything fraudulent to earn money.I guess the next government which comes in power will investigate him.

I applaud these kind of things. It is only through training and education that we become better contributors in society and a better asset to our employers.

Very good. Security officers anywhere else are highly trained professionals. So in order to get that respect guys have to step up and look for it.

Not to mention how they always coming back for more money when the job is not even half way. then when you pay them, you don’t see them for 3 days. Come on now, Dominicans need to wake up from this laziness and rum drinking hobby.

All dominicans can do is whine and complain. The reason this this man has succeeded is because he is doing what Dominican seamstress/tailors refuse to do. He is working swiftly. He takes small job. He does not keep people material at his home for one month and he does not refuse small jobs. I hope more Haitians and Chinese keep coming. At least we Dominicans can finally get affordable products and services. Dominicans too complacent and like to act like they do not need people for the business to survive. They unfriendly and not nice to their customers.

I would shake your big toe! Talk about their sewing inferior one wash and its torn, one wear and the buttons falling off! You still have to walk behind them to get your clothes. Sometimes you have to walk behind the Haitians too, but when you get your clothes its quality sewing.

Why is DNO afraid of posting my comments? Is DNO a Skerrit organization? You will definitely be hearing from me at which time I will reveal my person to Mr. Merrick Andrew.

ADMIN: And what difference would it make if you reveal your person to whoever? If your comments don’t meet out standards we will automatically delete it, no ifs ands and buts about it. If you don’t like it, well, that is your problem.

hats off to you mr,acceus for such a brilliant initiative. this kind of mobilisation will send our people to the books.for too long we just pick up people by the wayside and offer them employment.oh he is a security guard so he does not even need to be literate. the same must start simmering down into domestic workers
cleaners and carpenters. college students are out there who have studied architecture ,cannot obtain a job and so many illiterate men there working for big money even more than a senior clerk

Ok lets begin here: Mr Kings garment came to Dominica about 4 and a half years ago without a penny in hand; he rented a sewing machine to begin a sewing business, within ONE year he was able to purchase 21 sewing machines from Singer ( i guess singer sells sewing machines for a hundred dollars these days – electronic at that) by year TWO he was able to have two sewing outlets employing over 30 haitian seamstresses, by year THREE he was able to purchase a piece of land at goodwill close to the Jehovah witnesses kingdom hall, by year FOUR he was able to begin his own Employment Agency and now by year FOUR AND A HALF TO FIVE he is able to have his own security service employing as many haitian security officers and give them adequate training as possible… come on people Dominica must have a gold mine that we dont know about, and there must be hundred of people who need to make clothes within a year to have a tailor/seamstress so much work that that individual can purchase 21 sewing machines within one year. People open you all eyes and enquire within the Labour Department how many VISAS does mister nice guy KINGS GARMENT requested between 2006 to present and do alu homework………. our country is being taken for a ride by these haitians, its time government lunch a probe on these people using our nationality to do their dirty business. Invesatigate Mr Kings garment, other haitians will tell yu thats what he was doing in Haiti….. please mister Carette investigate before it is too late for us

People please wake up, i read many of your comments I do agree with some but not all, this year my former co-worker from Haiti came to Dominica was am employee of a business in Roseau, this guy worked for lest than a year bought a bus, a piece of land in Belleview, then quite the job only to hear a few month after that he was caught in Guadelopue smuggling Haitians, he was caught with a Haitian passport and a Dominican passport together with his wife and the others his wife was send back to Dominica because of her children and the husband is seating in a Guadelopue prison the $50000 Euro is in Guadelopue, the sad thing about it is that after he complete his jail in Guadelopue he will be deported to Haiti and then he will come back to Dominica, so saying that this man came to Dominica with nothing in his pocket i for one do not buy this

Please stop dissing people who try to make an honest living.Have you tried starting a business so you too could employ at least a few of the unemployed? You should be ashamed that a stranger had to come to your country to find gainful employment and has done extremely well for himself.Stop the envy and hate.

Has he only done well for himself?
Why make the comment if it is not fair? Will the entire Dominican community not benefit by having adequately trained security personell? Does his being Haitian make him less of a decent human being than a native born Dominican?
Sometimes we should just keep our comments…..

This gentleman has done well and while he may employ more Haitians than Dominicans he also employs Dominicans as well. Even at his “Garment” place in Pottersville his secretary is a Dominican. Further his service is to the Dominican public.

The only thing is we feel proud to receive services, but not interested in the delivery of such.

His secretary is a Dominican? How many employees does he have? being the recipient of a services is somewhat different from being the service provider. The service provider makes money…the service recipient gives away the money.
