Launch of Brizee’s ‘Year of the Environment’

O. D. Brisbane & Sons (Dominica) Ltd. is continuing its corporate spirit of caring and sharing by giving back to the community.  Brizee’s Mart recognized 2009, as the year of the Family and raised approximately $18,000 from the program.

These funds will be donated towards projects and programs that will directly impact the lives of some needy families on the island. The company is in the process of finalizing its project for the use of these funds.

O. D. Brisbane & Sons (Dominica) Ltd. “Year of….” Program for 2010 has been dubbed, “Brizee’s Year of the Environment” under the theme “Help Protect Our Nature Isle”, and will be officially launched on Friday January 29, 2010.

The funds will be raised as in previous years as follows – for every $100.00 spent at Brizee’s Mart, one Brizee’s Dollar goes to an Environmental project and the customer gets one Brizee dollar to use when shopping at Brizee’s Mart.

The company recognizes the adverse effects that practices such as deforestation, poor garbage disposal, improper use of pesticides, among others are having on our environment and the potential long term consequences if proper systems are not put in place to correct and or stop these practices.

O. D. Brisbane & Sons extend thanks to its many customers who supported the “Year of the Family 2009” Program, and encourage its customers and the general public to work with Brizee’s Mart in its effort to make 2010 the “Year of the Environment”.
