LIAT, The Caribbean Airline, today announced the resumption of services to / from Anguilla effective February 12.

The flights, which will be available daily, will be operated by Caribbean Helicopters as follows:

liat anguilla flights
All services will be able to accommodate seven passengers and one piece of checked baggage. The permitted weight is no more than 50 lbs (23 kgs), which is the inclusive amount for both checked baggage and hand baggage.

Caribbean Helicopters operates a fleet of Piper Navajo Chieftain PA31-350 and Britten Norman BN2 aircraft, which are ideal for services into some of the smaller Caribbean islands, where demand is limited and a smaller aircraft is required. Customers can continue to book these flights through LIAT, and they will operate with LIAT flight numbers.

LIAT is a failed enterprise and should be privatized. They are not making money directly but they are paying CH to provide a service on their behalf and making money on it in return…  . What a waste of an airline.

    Always Assertive!

Has Liat improved its service? Its employees treat people so rough have they improved?

I note Caribbean Helicopters’ Piper Chieftain in the caption. As far as I know this is also the aircraft they were supposed to use for their daily service between Antigua (ANU) and Canefield(DCF) effectively 22 Jan. Did that service see the light of day?

PS. Why do passengers have to make their bookings through Liat and put money into their pocket when I know from experience that Caribbean Helicopters are quite capable of handling this aspect themselves.
