1n 1865, 151 years ago, Abraham Lincoln, the first American President to be killed by a racist assassin, was struck down. Today, the spiritual heirs of that assassin, John Wilkes Booth, are alive and well among us – too many, in places high and low. They continue to make a mockery of the sacrifice of those Americans, Black, White, Hispanic, Native American and others. Their victims are law abiding, serve proudly in uniform, struggle daily to raise their families, pay their taxes, educate themselves and so build a better country.
The stated plan of Lincoln’s assassin was to continue the Civil War started by the defeated Confederacy. Likewise, the stated plan of the assassin, James Earl Ray, who slew Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In 1968 was also to start a new civil war.
The FBI knows who they are. They are online openly fomenting sedition with the freedoms they enjoy. They increasingly gather politicians to their cause who spew venom and turn anger at economic dislocation, loss of jobs, and other ills. Yes, there is black on black crime – too much of it. But there is also white on white crime. In fact, we all agree there is way too much violent gun crime in the United States of America. This is far, far, far out of proportion to any other developed, civilized country in the whole wide world, including Russia and China. What is wrong with us? Most importantly, what you absolutely do not find is black police officers running around in white neighborhoods killing white citizens on routine traffic stops. After all, what on earth does a young black man have to do to feel safe in his own country?!
‘Roots’ reminded us of all what black people have had to go through in order to survive till this day. No species on earth acquiesces to its own extinction. Misguided or not, someone will fight back the way they have been trained.The tragedy in Dallas is one more example that innocents will continue to die unless we purge the malevolent hatred of racial injustice that hangs like a curse over our beloved nation. These murders must stop. Continued racial injustice will only breed more hate and bloodshed.
We mourn our greats who were sacrificed for freedom and justice. We mourn all those slain this week, civilian and law enforcement. May their sacrifice wake us up to the fact that we are indeed at the 11th hour.
The President must come home and attend to this. Congress must convene and attend to this. Our state governors, state legislatures, leaders in church, state, the judiciary, and private industry, must rise up in wisdom and address this cancer of racial hatred that is more openly devouring the soul of America. We are hypocrites when we pretend to fight terror abroad where there is real terror at home. Let us stop the hypocrisy.
This week, God allowed us to see the evil within. The terror inflicted on our communities must come to an end.
I now ask all those in law enforcement to turn in those assassins within who wear badges. They know who they are. Today we seem dumbfounded as to where ISIS came from. Most of our military served honourably in Iraq, a war that we all know now, was based on questionable motives. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens were slain. Some of these veterans who returned and joined police forces across the country cannot help but brutalize their fellow citizens. They talk down at ‘others’ and degrade our common humanity. They put their boots on the necks of taxpayers and execute them, without trial. This is a violation of the US Constitution and international law. To my many friends in law enforcement, I say do your duty. Root out the lawless among you who dishonor the profession by treating Black and poor people like trash. Stop it now!
Let us all join hands with the disciplined and responsible police officers,those who truly honor their oath to protect and serve all without fear or favor. We know them when we meet them. Show them some love. Let them know we are squarely on the side of honest law enforcement. Let them know we appreciate all they do to ensure peace and tranquility in this land.
I ask for all of us to unite and foil the plots of those, crooked politicians, rogue cops, and other lawless people, whose sole desire is to terrorize us into a new Civil War. We have been there before America. Let us not be dragged back into that dark night.

Today the 11 gives me 9 yrs since I am living in the U.S. I have been stopped 6 times by the police.Is it because I am black?I don’t think so,and all 6 times I was wrong.Each time I politely say, Officer please forgive me,I am late for work.Only once I have received a ticket,I was going for my son in college about 9.15 pm and the speed limit 25 MPH and I was driving 45.Four yrs ago my wife was taking her sister who was visiting the U.S.back to NY from NJ we got a flat tire about 12 a.m, a cop stopped and asked “How can I help?” he started with us 4 thirty minutes protecting us and then said, “I have to go” so he light 6 flares at the back and front of our car as a protection while we waited for roadside assistance from AAA. You are speaking without the facts and with no understanding of the systemic reasons for black crime. Try growing up in the hood with persistent hatred and oppression directed at you for most of your life and you would be speaking a different tune John-Charles. People always analyze issues form their perspective – why do these black people simply act right. It is this sort of attitude that maintains the status quo. Setting aside how a few so-called blacks got killed by the police, how old are the US criminals?
There are many so-called blacks in the US who made it, obtaining an education, good jobs, homes and are law-abiding people. There are some, even without a higher education, who are ambitious, hardworking and able to provide for their livelihood and that of their family.
We must not make excuses for them. Everyone has sense, if they are not mentally incapacitated, to know they should live well and in peace with others and according them their due rights and dignity.
I realize every country has its share of crimes. There are some who did not care and who never tried. They preferred the leisure life and one of crimes.
They have the intelligence to know how to use a gun and also break and enter and commit crimes and some other atrocious ones. They are wicked and a menace to society.

A basic understanding of statistics, sociology, and psychology would allow those who claim we are making “excuses” to understand how things works against blacks in the US. But I cannot write up a dissertation here, so I have learned to accept some people will simply never get it and prefer to accept the simply narrative the wider society is so willing to provide – that black people are somehow flawed human beings. When the fact is, almost all the dysfunction in the black community can be explained by sociological conditioning, psychological stress, and economic deprivation. I am not making excuses. These are well known scientific and sociological facts. But to educate people on this is a wearing and almost hopeless task. People see a few successful blacks and say well now why can’t they all do it – but in any distribution the first thing statistic knowledge would tell you is to throw out the outliers and focus on the large lump in the middle – the true nature of the situation.

Our problem is that when the same crime is committed by a different race, the police handle it differently. It is wrong to say that if a black man is killed by another black man, no one is concerned. Many marry, separate and divorce. If some are not injured and murdered they are fortunate.
How many pray and teach their children to pray? How many people live in godliness or at least try to do so? Some hate the Church and anything to do with it. Yet they say they are Christians.
How many pray with a genuine kind heart?
These occurrences are punishment for the people – everyone, not only in the US but in the world.

2. Stop rewriting the history books to avoid depicting the real history of these States and it is not pretty .
3. Stop legislating all these BS laws to curb peoples freedoms .
4. Start to invest in dilapidated schools especially in poor areas so that people have a chance to get a decent education.
I do not know if I can agree with number 3 and 4; because we don’t see much of that. As for the gerrymandering that is common in the South, of the country orchestrated by the Republicans!
Can you say that Obama did something good for the blacks, black neighborhood and schools during his tenure and that America is a better place today than it was prior to him being elected twice which is 8 years?
I wonder what will be said about him when he vacates the presidency. I do know many people will be happy to see him go. They cannot wait.

You know Skerrit is a runaway fright train; so much so he is above the laws of Dominica. Besides if a man cannot do any as fare as the police, and people of a country are concerned who would make the move to arrest Skerrit even if they saw him commit murder in broad daylight.
I am sure all the witness to that would prefer to take the blame: Everybody would say they did it; set Skerrit free (cause is lie dem lying on Skerrit).
Besides the first official: the DA or Carbon to open their mouth to suggest the arrest of Skerrit would immediately kicked out oh his job by Skerrit. That is why Skerrit believe he is invincible!
