    Many of the pictures were beautiful but the pictures of cut up body parts was not funny at all.

    We live at a time when the young people are committing all kinds of crimes, and this is not the best idea to put in their heads. Not because it is Carnival time. Do we remember why we are celebrating carnival. This has nothing to do with carnival. To me this looks like Halloween. This is Dominica, and we are supposed to be celebration freedom from slavery, where our ancestors were made slaves.

    They were sold, killed, raped, beaten and treated like animals. We are free, and we should always remember that. That is what we are celebrating, FREEDOM FROM SLAVERY, not Halloween. God bless Dominica and may He have mercy on us.

      I disagree with you. It was about carnival hillbillies,not about your raping nonsense! To me it was very creative and different from the slutty outfits we see every year with women degrading themselves like prostitutes in the streets. I prefer my kids see talent on display than obese women in their underwear on the street!geeze!

    Thank you DNO for bringing Carnival Monday live to us. It was very entertaining. Fortunately I had the day off, made a fish broth and join the revelers at my home in Larchmont, NY. I wish I was in Dominica in person but I had great fun today. Once again THANK YOU and keep up the good work. By the way, the jouvert pics are fabulous.

    How is it that men are more covered(decently dressed)than the women,can someone tell me?These ladies,do they think that carnival is just two days for indecent exposure!Man just take a look at some of those pics and would you like your woman,mother,daughter,sister,co worker to be showing it all off like this man…..tasteless!!

    Dominica carnival is usually beautiful but this this 2013 carnival seem to have a severe shortage of color matching artists. The decor is bland monotonous and lacking vibrancy.
    This is a constructive criticism. I will expect that Dominica carnival of 2014 will be as vibrant,eye popping as it used to be.
