An alleged drug dealer was granted bail to the sum of $100,000 this morning.
Wayne Thomas of Grand Bay appeared before Magistrate Ossie Lewis Friday morning and pleaded not guilty to the charges of possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of ammunition.
The youthful defendant was allegedly caught by authorities with the 86 pounds of marijuana and a quantity of 1.9 millimeter rounds of ammunition on March 24 in the High Land area of Grand Bay.
The surety of the defendant is his grandmother’s husband who owns property in the community.
Lawyer Zena Dyer made the bail application on the defendant’s behalf.
The conditions of his bail is to report to the Grand Bay Police Station every Monday.
To Say no to drugs. If Ganja is as bad for you as you say, How come the Rastas that smoke it have ten + children before they even reach 40 years old? Amsterdam has a lower crime rate than Dominica, maybe because “drugs” are legal and controlled there.
