Roy Ashworth Williams, an employee of the Roseau Cooperative Credit Union, has agreed to stand as surety for Claudius Guye, a young man charged with grievous bodily harm.
Williams posted bail in the sum of $15 000 and told the court that he has known Guye since he was a child. They once lived closed to each other, but their houses are approximately 50 feet apart, Williams told the court Monday morning.
The two conditions of Guye’s bail are that he reports to the Police Headquarters every Monday and Friday between 7 am and 7 pm; and that he abides by his curfew set from 8 pm to 6 am
Guye’s trial is set for March 03, 2010. The facts of the case will be presented during his trial.
