Curios bystanders look on as police dust for fingerprints at the scene of the Pizza Hut break in

A man from Bath Estate is now facing one charge of burglary following a break in at Pizza Hut in Roseau on July 2.

Lorenzo Pinard, 31, appeared in court on Monday morning but did not enter a plea since the matter is an indictable offense.

Information revealed in court indicates that Pinard entered the business establishment in the early hours of the morning of July 2 and stole several items.

Some include two laptops, three boxed drinks valued at $19.50, two giant malts costing $8.00, a large bag of bacon ($59.00), a bag of chicken wiings ($17.00), Nokia and BlackBerry cell phones, among others.

Some of the items have been recovered.

A safe containing $7,793.63 was also taken from the establishment, however it was found nearby later the same morning. The money was not stolen since the safe could not be tampered with.

The value of all items stolen amounted to 24,446.41.

The prosecution objected to bail for Pinard on the grounds that the matter is still being investigated and two other persons are being sought by law enforcement.

The police also said Pinard could interefere with the investigations.

His bail application will be renewed in two weeks and the matter was adjourned for December 11.

Pinard is known to the police since he made a court appearance on May 22 on a charge of theft.

He reportedly stole a number of cell phones in Elmshall.

He was bailed in the sum of $5,000 on his own recognizance on that matter.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. Break and enter my house and I will bury you in my yard. End of story.

You’re not very bright. I noticed the mistake but didn’t bother to change it because everyone would be able to understand exactly what I meant. How can you call me out for that but not notice that I spelled “tarpaulin” wrong. I guess your mental capacity is only able to detect basic errors. Nice grammar by the way there buddy, to bad you won’t get to read this comment. *Sigh*

u noticed the mistake but decided against changing it… very original excuse… if u cannot even differentiate between “steal” and “still”, how can i possibly expect u to spell “tarpaulin” correctly…? and while trying to throw shade at my comment , u still used the wrong form of “too”.. “TO bad”….? REALLY?!? did u decide against changing that one too? :-? i’m not trying to start a grammar war with you darling.. because, quite evidently, you would fail.. and this is not about who has the greater mental capacity either… According to “grell” below.. we all make mistakes.. thats the truth.. but who are u to refer to the individual as a retard or comment on the level of his incompetency? he made a mistake that he will pay dearly for.. nobody knows what state of mind he was in when he committed this crime. but one can assume he was pretty desperate given the items he stole and the haphazard way in which he committed the crime… ur comment is demeaning… hoping ur ship is in pristine condition before u judge the cook or the captain… just sayin…..
