Bin Laden’s death no cause for complacency – Bernard

Bin Laden

While people in the United States and elsewhere have been rejoicing over the announced killing of terrorist group leader Osama Bin Laden Minister of state in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alvin Bernard, has said Bin Laden’s death is “no cause for complacency”.

Bin Laden, leader of Al-Qaeda, was reportedly gunned down by special US military forces Sunday in Pakistan. It is believed that Bin Laden and his terrorist group were behind the September 11 2001 attack on the U.S. as well as other bombings.

Global media reports show people over the world lauding the death. In the Caribbean, Jamaica has described the killing of Bin Laden as triumph for people all over the world who value democracy and peace.

Bernard underscored that Dominica is against terrorism but this is no time to relax because “ten years have elapsed since the event of 9/11 and during that interval, a lot has happened. The movement of Al-Qaeda has become more entrenched and more pervasive.”

“The situation has become more problematic and more complex so therefore there’s no need for complacency,” he said, while pointing out that Bin Laden’s death may bring relief to those who have been affected by workings of Al-Qaeda.

Did he not hear President Obama’s speech and that of others? I do not think the world in general is so stupid as to be complacent about the death of Osama bin Laden. They cannot afford to be complacent. There are many Al-Qaedas worldwide. I do believe it may take years to eradicate them, if never. The only one who could permanently do this is God. Who knows what they are up to at this moment in retaliation? The government and the public must always be on the alert for Al-Qaeda has infiltrated the entire world. Beware Dominicans!

why these morons always have to issue rebel statements.May be this is an attempt to derail international peace and security in the same manner the PM accused Brisbane of trying to derail chinese investments in Dominica

With these ridiculous statements, the saying ‘ignorance is bliss’ can’t be anymore true than this.

You all can continue to exist in isolation, confining your world to a local radio talk show… in time the results will become evident when some major event catch u all unawares, and the very same talk show hosts would have been more than prepared and sought safety.

You all need to know when to involve politics and when not to. So foolish, such small minds.

So, bin Laden is dead, eh? Let’s see now…this would, ummm, be the sixth time he’s been either confirmed or suspected dead, and all by various individuals and agencies. Go to http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/1092.html and learn more.
