A junior police officer of the Dominica Police Force and his girlfriend have been arrested and are now in police custody in Roseau as members of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) investigate a matter which involves the stealing of bus parts.
DNO can confirm that the police officer, who has been a member of the Police force for about three years, was arrested at Donkey Beach in Canefield on the evening of March 13, 2014.
Reports are that the officer, who was placed under surveillance by the police, went, along with his girlfriend, to the area and stole parts from a bus.
“He was caught red-handed and is now in police cells along with his girlfriend,” one police source confirmed to DNO.
The officer is expected to be processed and taken to court on Monday March 17, 2014 where he and his girlfriend will be charged.
I can’t believe what I am hearing in dominica what’s next when police getting played to serve n protect is crime they doing.I am very much a shame give him n his woman d minimum cause if it was anyone else they would do d same …Mr n his woman not easy
It”s a sad story this things happen all over the world, there is no use to rejoice. it can happen to any one of us. in the world i am living is pirate world. do what you have to do to survive. god will control the rest. please remember today for them, tomorrow or the same day for us. think big and wide.
to the admin of DNO i will quickly ban this site cause my comments are never posted,is only one set smh
well is criminals they taking in de force them days,so that is de result,it have more to be caught committing worse crimes, wait and all u will see.
Many of them just carry the name police´ but is worst than does who are in jail.
So when the girl at DDA steal in Miami her mugshot was there the next day why can’t DNO put the officer picture
Am against all type of crime but there are some big fishes and I believe enough is not being done to take them down. Good job to the CID department. Continue doing your jobs free from fear and free and fair.
Please release a name, where he is from and show a picture of he and his girl. If it was any other criminal that would have been done already.
Go to the Rock – Weiler’s constituency and ask him . Ask him about the OHHHHGeest ….. . Got it? But Change Must Come soon even in the CDPF.
Assertive, NOT Agressive!
Do you reside in Dominica? How many times DNO has to inform you impatient readers about this? Are you not aware the names and pictures cannot be posted prior to their appearance in Court and formally charged?
Take your time. You will soon find out after this is completed. You should know that DNO cannot post the pictures and names prior to that. This information must be released by the police authorities.
Ok so he was caught red-handed. So why is it his name is not mentioned in the report? I think it time the names of the crime doers (even if it’s alleged) and there accomplices be named.
Take the crust out our eyes!!!
The Country Tight Tight Tight Tight Tight like a Virgin; What you expect, his salary Tight, and his girlfriend maybe greedy. you know how some women can be very materialistic.
Then again, he needed parts to fix his passenger bus or his pardner bus or to sell so he can get a little extra pocket change to make her happy, lol hahahaha, what a joke.
No wonder some of the citizenry have no respect and do not trust those who are entrusted to protect us. How does one respect, follow or obey the laws on the land; when the very same who are suppose to carry out the laws of the land, uphold it, are the very ones breaking; what a shame.
You should have known better, but I cant blame you this is the order of the day from the top down, to take what you are supposed to watch over.
It’s not pleasant for the PD every body has something good or something bad to say. Please take note when our neighbour’s house is on fire take water and wet yours.
We’ll imagine the people Who is supposed to protect us from society is stealing from us
Guess he’s been doing that for a long time.if he was placed under surveillance and was caught that mean he’s been there done that before
How unfortunate maybe he needs some counselling. The big one that say he throw the money in the garbage bin was promoted. Free the brother chief man can make mistakes.
I am not going to blame the whole PD for what this cop did. He formed the fool and will kiss his job goodbye. In life your trust no one because everyboby is not perfect check your five fingers they are not the same.
That a great lesson to learn from. Stop looking doing on the ghetto youths, the criminals are those who are in authority. The real criminals are those who commit the white color crimes an are never caught. Those who are specialized in finding loop holes in the system?the truth must reveal!!!! Jah
The same way they hold that one, I hope they hold the others involved with them big drug dealers from captain down to cook. Is one set?
We have no one else to blame but skerrit, if he would only work hard and take his time.
anyway one bad apple does not spoil the whole,so actually i do not see why some people are so surprised,in every organization there is going to be someone that is corrupt,if among christ circle around his blessed table one was a devil, imagine that, all i can say is ,for his and others sake, that he and who else learn by his mistake,if there are others doing wrong when they are suppose to uphold the law,ce barb carmawad ou,pew defei, wosee sa’ w
one bad apple does spoil the batch,i do not see why some people are so surprised,in every organization there is going to be some corrupted individual, even among christ’s circle around the table, one was a devil,to bad he chose his own fate,i hope for his sake and others, that they learn from their mistakes
Today on the US Catholic Radio, a Lenten Retreat program, the host of this program a priest stated the same thing about Judas, the traitor. He mentioned that it happened as a lesson for us.
It is very important to praise the police department for a job well done we the people has always blame the department for not doing there job, so people slow down and thank them for a job well done arrest them , those that are dirty, clean house, all those who steal fire arms from the armoury, get them too..
It is imperative that we give compliment where it is due. Too often some appear either they are not aware of it, never were taught, have forgotten about it or ignore it. We are obligated to do so and offer encouragement; not discouragement. This is also a mark of a patriotic national and a good Christian. We know that Our Lord said, “By their fruits you will know them.”
The Lord knows that people will fall into sin. Some commit offences to the point of losing their jobs. He expects that should we fall in whatever manner, pick up the pieces, ask forgiveness, make reparation with a vow not to repeat the act (s) and prod forward with the help of God.
This is also why a country has a prison to incarcerate criminals whereby to a certain extent they pay for their crimes.
Some are fortunate not to be imprisoned. The latter should also assist them to become better and fruitful nationals.
if the head is rotten the rest of the body is no good
how much do police receive monthly.
If there is one thing you should learn is to broaden your mind, manner of thinking and educate yourself that, no one is one and the same, no one should be compared to another and no two people are alike in personality and characteristic traits. In other words, you do not judge them all as being the same. You project your ignorance, lack of compassion and understanding.
Whatever the police is paid is no one’s business. It is an internal and private matter which no one and no inquisitive person should question
What could be done in certain cases, if need be is to provide a salary range of officers (employees) in a certain category and of a certain status but never to reveal their income.
Tight like a virgin!
thing is it is the nature of man to be dishonest, now, there are no saints, and none without sin, most of the police officers were of criminal minds before joining the service, but does man really change?
or do they suppress those urges,if he was already under surveillance that means it was not the first time,
This is DA, mister won’t be in jail for long and find another job before you know it.
I know for sure his going to lost his job
Clearly, it is my opinion that one is innocent until proven guilty.
As such, I am sure that the Commissioner, Mr. Carbon, is a man of wisdom and will give this officer (the accused) a fair chance to make his case.
However, if found in default, he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
As a former police officer; ethically, morally, or socially this development is not welcoming, therefore, this irresponsible officer should be made an example of.
Otherwise, I applaud the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force for the excellent job they have been doing.
Why all the surprises? Because he got caught? He is a product of the society…let the cap fit.
This island is loaded with thieves. Considering that the return of stolen property is probably below 1% and people are being ripped off right and left, This whole thing looks like something to make the police dept. look good but is questionable. We need police that can actually go find the stolen property. People’s motorcycles, tools, furniture, etc. are stolen and disappear into thin air. And where are the police and what are they doing about it? Not much.
It doesn’t matter how mush money someone have or make a voler is a voler even if he or she have millions they never have enough send both of them to prison. You break the law pay the price the law men are working even with their own.KUDOS
Policemen are human beings they are liable to fail we all have done something not so pleasing so pray for the man
@anonymous
amen. we all make mistake and we all fall short by the glory of GOD
knowing who are involved i feel sorry for the young girl your father must be very upset,to the police i hope you stick with her at the end look what you have done to a young child not putting the blame fully on you cause she could have think for herself
Follow the Leader. Leader change.
Some steal money in station and now is head of state security. Some openly campaigning for party and getting promotion. Lack of dicipline in the force reflect on leadership. Senior officers have to live by example
It is a sad moment for the police force but good officers have no reasons to hang their heads in shame. Congrats to the Chief and the officers who took the bad one among them down. There are a few more that you must deal with Chief, Do not despair you have the support of the public even when for reasons unknown some of your top officers don’t support you.Good job officers
I like to hear dat.too long dem police ting d force is a gang..just do wat day want,,
my people i am so so so so sad for you i left Dominica many years ago i visit often BUT this is the poorest and most desperate i have know my people
it is very true A PEOPLE GETS THE REPRESENTATION THE VOTE FOR
the head is rotten so the rest of the body must be no good
There are plenty dishonest officers. They arrested a guy with weed when he went to court he asked them where is the rest of the weed. He told the magistrate your honour they stole the weed because the container was full now its half. People are cryiny no jobs you have one and you are stealing the worst part a law enforcement officer.a lot of them are crooks its just a matter time.
Most of what is said here is pure compounded ignorance. Blame Skerrit. Blame not enough jobs. Blame no jobs. Blame not enough pay. Blame the whole police force. Blame DNO. But don’t ever blame the person who allowed him/herself to do the foolishness. Ignorance upon ignorance!
It does not mean that because we have access to a computer to write whatever we feel like that we are even yet on the path to good sense. Ignorance upon ignorance!
It is sad and embarrassing for the Dominican Police Force that one of their own was caught in this action. It is a bad mark on them; not for them that one of their own would stoop so low, to this degree and commit a crime.
They were aware that he had committed an infraction, be it more than one which is why he was placed under surveillance. In this case, the authorities did well. They have done their job and part in apprehending him.
They did not turn a blind eye or a deaf ear even though it is one of their own. This should inform D/cans that the authorities are serious about making the Police Force an honest and reputable one and to clean it up.
The authorities should be complimented on what they have done in arresting him and his girlfriend. We cannot see the future. Who knows, in the long run, it may be for his very own good. God knows!
Be aware that no establishment is devoid of flaws and employees who commit crimes, one way or the other. Today, we have TV and Internet and we hear and read more than ever. It is an “information overload” which I hope our minds and brains can accept; we will not buckle under these news and it will not affect us.
As for the policeman and his girlfriend, they have much to regret. They have found themselves in a dilemma with the Law. As a member of the Force, he must feel extremely embarrassed. He will, no doubt, apologize to them for his actions.
We are to pray for every one. Let us do that.
Our Lord forgave the thief who was repentant. You Christians, remember what the Lord said to him while He was on the Cross before his death: “This day you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Having stated that, it crosses my mind (hopefully through inspiration) that those of you who say people are dead and we do not pray to dead people, ask yourself and note what Our Lord said to that thief. Your false teaching and indoctrination do not measure up to Holy Scripture, The Word of the Lord.
Refer to that passage and that after Our Lord died, He descended to the dead and took the good souls with him. They were waiting for the Scripture to be fulfilled and Our Lord’s presence to take them up to Heaven. Our Lord when to Heaven first and they followed after him.
Some of you say there are no souls in Heaven. You have failed in Holy Scripture knowledge. This is mortal and spiritual food for thought to contemplate on.
No matter whom, if we ask the Lord with a contrite and humble heart, He will forgive us, no matter what we have done. Keep this also in mind, some of you who are hard-hearted, unforgiving and love to lambaste people and make derogatory remarks about them, even when they may be innocent.
As we ask Our Lord to have mercy on us, let us also have mercy on those who were weak of body and spirit. Some of you as Christians need to learn this for your good while you are alive and for the good of your soul later on when you stand before the Judgment Seat of Our Lord Jesus Christ that He may have mercy on you – on us.
So it is ok to publish this story but not the Earlene story? How is this unbiased and fair? What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
That one is not money so you cannot put it to dry….#calypsoinmyblood.
Well long that fella doing crap….. what hunter did say again?? If you doh like de job put down de Government boots maysiay…doh stay and further contaminate de state
It have a lot of dirty cops in that force that needs to get weed rooted out. Lots of not corruption in there especially with money “evidence money” let me see what they do what this one.
Salary too small, times hard. People too quick to judge. People have children to feed in these hard times and have to resort to desperate means. Unless you in the position yourself you will not understand. All dem politicians and big man that stealing from the state allu still have them up. Blessing to the little man.
Just pray for them, as I will do also.
Read my palm a thief is a liar, and that is the gospel truth
This shows that the Police are trying, Tell government let the Police do the recruiting and do not put their hand picked cronies into the system.
I also support an earlier blogger that maybe lie detectors should be used in recruiting.
Since 2010 I’ve been applying for the force..I yet to get a response.stop playing politics with the recruiting program.its really a shame for the ppl they selected to be involved in such illegal activities..give those that really want the job,THE JOB!!!!!
you have to do de OH HENRY
This so called Police officer, was not adequately trained. This is a case of Adam and EVE.what girlfriend? A woman encouraged you to steal and you call her a girlfriend.I am so disappointed with the idiot.Police keep your spirits up.You are the best
Well, well,well…..you mean to tell me that just the other day you wanted to arrest me for a soda which you thought I stole hand now here they got you redhanded stealing bus parts. People like you make the publics’ trust in the police go down the drain.
there is a police officer who just joined,i think he is special constable,he use to be a security officer before, all he does is look for reasons to give people ticket.only to find out they more need the ticket than us,they doing all there crime behind closed doors, but there time must come one day
Publish their pictures, cause when the Jamaican artist and the winter Olympians fr..k up their pictures were there for all to see….show their DAME pictures, then I’ll know from whom I must hide my ride and lock my garage door….
The Law does not have favorites if applied properly. Let’s continue to pray for Godliness and righteousness. However, if you do the crime you must do the time.
and dno needs to show his mugshot too.
correction. the law does not favour some. The poor gets arrested. the rich and famous get protected.
Mr pm please pay the police offices so that won’t steal people things . Our make OTtt and ATP put the parts chiper
The pm has non .to do wit the man stealin parts they just need to c ple things n dont touch n who is that foolish girl to follow n steal shame on alu but then again let he taste what they doin to other victims feel what the cell tastes like for the weekend
nonsence. don’t blame the PM for no low payments causing police to do ….. the pay could be better but it’s not that bad……….. some police just have their dirty ways plus they are vetted on friendship and political game!!
So you are making excuses for him? Probably his salary should be advertised for everyone to know how much he was paid. Would this pacify you?
He is a law enforcer and he broke the law. He had it in him to steal. Probably this was not the first time and prior to becoming a police officer.
whatt???
everything cannot be SKerrit its because of ppl like you why Dominica will never go anywhere…smh
If they stealing bus parts. Imagine what they doing for the white powder when the boat bring it in!!!
Don’t tell me you’re talking about the klim….
Well Well Well…Who will Guard the Guard
Wow! This is so sad. What could motivate him to do something like that. It’s bad when anyone steals but when someone who has the responsibility to investigate and charge someone for committing a crime it’s even more heartbreaking. With that said, I can only pray for him and his girlfriend during this dark time.
According to Hunter if you don’t want the job put down the Government boots. There are bad eggs in the PD for the longest.
I don’t even want to waste my time to post a comment because the way DNO is operating these days, especially in 2014, is a clear sign they do not want us to comment but they just not saying that. In a day you would be lucky to see them post over 50 comments. After two days or so they will just come and moderate 150 comments and later that same day, the subject vanishes away. I guess they are being affected by the virus Skerrit brought to Dominica
typical…Dominican… am I the only who reads and can add?
1.check their comment policy they don’t have a lot of staff to approve your comments seconds after u post it, although on some days that does happen. So check your ego and your ignorance at the door and be thankful you get to express yourself so regularly and so freely smh…. You ever compare to Davibes n those othersites, its even worse there.
2. Each story shows the number of comments approved next to it, simple arithmetic shows its a lot more than 50 comments in a day… political stories (cuz dats what we like) will have 300 + comments going in one day and majority are negative thats just one story and I’ve seen stories with way more. meanwhile positive stories get like 5 and 10 comments sometimes.
they even publish ur comment when u being critical of them, you have the right to free speech not the right to spew ignorance and negativity…
why we cannot appreciate and build up what’s our own lord ,
-my name!!-
@ magwaysa, You know I don’t understand us Dominicans. I simply wrote a five line comment where I said I didn’t want to waste my time to comment on the subject matter because DNO has not been keen to post like they used to, and for that you wrote a 13 line attack and jumped all over me even calling me names? I am quite sure DNO did not see it in this light. I am quite sure they just saw it as I telling them to get busy posting all of our comments. That’s all there is to it. I did not say I did not like them or they were bad. In fact I do appreciate the fact that they have given us an avenue to express ourselves whether we are blue, red or yellow. By the way, when I said they don’t post more than 50 comments a day I did not mean in totality. I simply meant per subject as. So don’t get high blood pressure and call me names for that man. I think you are more offended about me mentioning the skerrit virus that plaguing Dominica than anything else. MAGWAYSA???
The virus is from the UWP and the Daas Phd people. They are spreading it at home and abroad. With fake raffles ,fake investment and fake title to land, and fake payments to UWP campaign financing.
Way papa. Wayy look a police force my god shame on you people.and u want to arrest people for theft officer!!!!!!????? Mr cabon put all the officers in the police force under the lie detector test. Weed them out I say!!! It have alot more!!! Weed them out!!!
is it the police force of the individual who di the act. You should be praising the police force for doing its work even if the culprit is a police officer. It was police officers who arrested him or have you forgotten that part of the story.
The virus Edison James, Earl Williams, Ron Green and the rest plagued us with in Dominica.
Oh yes. Ron GREEN the American citizen raffled a TV for the fake UWP defence fund ,but there was no winners. All the UWP lawyers were imported, like we do not have Dominican lawyer. They certainly know how to spread the virus of hate and envy. They call it change.
Dear Anonymous what about the big outbreak Skerrit, Ambrose and the whole cabal that is now destroying the country. Let us talk. The bin bobol, the fertilizer bobol, the 2 million dollar house, the three houses built by one minister, the most expensive suv’s by any government, the land transfer deal, the bank Ambrose still looking for-he knew. What an outbreak!!!!
should I continue- let us talk!!!
It is so embarrassing when things like that happen. Good job but its time that the other papas in the force be put under surveillance lets catch the big fish
Put a fartigue in his #se, those bad apples place our Dedicated and other hard working men and woman of our force in disrepute. In every spare of society will produce some bad apples, no use for those in our force. Despite that so called Black eye, we have one of the best Police Force in the Caribbean if not the World. Once a cop always a cop. Good job guys and girls, no one is above the law.
Weh Papa
I love this, it states that the force does have zero tolerance for crimes and they dont cover it up, they are even arresting their own when they commit a crime, so as much as ppl think that our police force is corrupt they show that they dont tolerate corrupt cops as well as criminals on the outside, so sometimes we should not always critise the police force but commend them for a job well done
I wish I could meet you in person I would buy you lunch. Thank you for being Dominican, really Dominican for your objective comment. As a police officer I needed to read at least one comment like that. We are trying our best to rid ourselves of those among us who don’t deserve to wear the state’s uniform, but they come from the public and we cannot see their heart, so there ill always be some like that guy among us but we will NOT hide them once we have the evidence they will be treated like anyone else who commit the same act. You have made be happy this day. Thank you.
Wishful thinking.
hmmm what is Dominica coming to? I wonder y DNO didn’t state thair names, because is a police den
When they are formally charged, their names will be posted. It should not be a secret. Until then, if I recall reading in the past, DNO will not post their names.
they have not been formally charged
When you playing politics with the recruitment of Police officers what do you expect? There are so much genuine civilians who might be supporting blue and they will never be given a chance to join the Police force. The officers responsible for the vetting process first question to the public when they call is, what party the individual supporting. What do you expect!! It’s time for change….Hit dislike people don’t care
Are you serious? Ensure what you stated is correct. Do they ask them what Party they support? They are not supposed to ask this. It is a private matter between the applicants and who they support. I would think in Dominica it is illegal and discriminating to ask such a question. If so, based on their response, they would not be considered for an interview, training and a position.
Like I said hit dislike but it’s my opinion just like everyone else has one in here but I have my source that is why I saying what I saying.
are you saying that all applicant accepted in the CDPF are supports of the DLP. Wow and you stayed at your home and decided that with no data and fro you home? you must be an einstein.
Maybe I have data
All how all you try to hide the earlene story politician and all one thing America will not hide her queen or not for all you!!! Delete this comment too
well if you have the full détails of her story share it then. In Dominica we too like to judge others without knowing what really happened to people and by the time a persons name is cleared their reputation already tarnished. I feel ashamed of my people. Anyways, the Young lady is at shool up to yesterday was in class getting her education. hmm….. I Wonder what does that say about everything.
That’s why I do not want to associate myself with the police now-a-days. the moral of the police is way on becoming
Maybe they need people like you to lecture those young PCs’.
8 If I decide to become a nurse, its because I am interested in helping sick people.. If I decide to become a politician its because I want to provide needs and make a change. So y should I become something in society to protect the law and arrest anyone who breaks it, be a role model to younger children and let them hear u doin for, wat u claim 2 be agaist???… NOT KOOL! Wat if tht grl is innocent, she has to pay the price too.. Smh
My My My…interesting isn’t it…the salary too small pardner?
Does he have children to support or do they have children? Nevertheless, as a policeman he should have known better.
eba….more details needed. Thanks
A wii papa more they have more they want
shaME
At least that is one battery bad egg rooted out
hmph…smh
U see dem police men hungry if they had gud pay check da not what he shud hve gone to do
This is so sad! What could have motivated him to do that? Anybody with the mindset can steal but when its someone who has the authority to investigate and charge others who commit a crime, its even more heartbreaking. With that said, I pray for him and his girlfriend during this dark time. Who am I to judge?
Hope he gets his vehicle fixed in the end
when entering the police service the men and women need to be investigated fully before putting them on the force .now adays i find that police officers are finding there selves in all kind of mess, drying money mess evidence money guns bike drugs bomb . thats to much. we need a full investigation of the force.
If they have prior conviction (s), obviously they will not be considered for police work. The authorities would have no idea what type of character they possess. During the interview I would think that they should be asked certain questions relevant to the position and be informed of what the duty entails and what is required of them. He was fully aware of that. Furthermore, I am unable to comprehend that as a policeman he would find himself in such a position.
make an example off him, others will learn no one is above the LAW
Do not generalize. Your comment implies that they are all one and same. I am certain they are not all the same. You should know that. There are always a few bad apples in any establishment.
what a shame
Well dominica is really mess up… so the force got dirty cops… never no who are the good guyz and the bad guyz.
You are a bad guy to assume that they are all dirty cops. Please do not give them all a bad name. The spoken/written words come not back. Nevertheless, you should retract your words and apologize.
IF FOUND GUILTY throw the book at him. Give him as much punishment as the law allows. You cannot hide behind the badge while performing criminal activities. Other who are involved in such activities should take note…99 days for the thief one for the guard. But Change will come with the ranks and file soon..
Assertive, NOT Agressive!
As Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Much is required of the person entrusted with much and still more will be demanded of him.”
To whom much is given much is expected in return. This goes for each and every one of us, fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, relatives, friends, employers, employees, others in authority.
This is why Our Lord said: “Let he who is without sin caste the first stone.” He also told us to be merciful as your Heavenly Father is merciful.
After all is said and done, feel sorry for him and his girlfriend and pray for them. Keep in mind they have a family who is obviously shocked, saddened, disappointed and embarrassed at what they have done. It is like they are mourning for them and no doubt are grieving.
This policeman made a grave error which he will deeply regret. He has to pay the price. He and his girlfriend are obviously regretting their action.
There is a reason why the Law depicts that it is fair and metes out just sentences and punishment as they assume criminals deserve according to the Law.
lol what next if u cant trust folks
i sense a revolution, or a change of power
If is me u would hear dat long time
:lol : ! Change Must Come for it is Not an option.
Assertive, NOT Agressive!
It’s a shame that those who swear to defend and uphold the laws of the land are often involved in criminal activities. How can the citizens put their trust in the police?
We must put our trust in God not man. All have sinned, and is liable to fail,
Political appointed police corrupt as the people who put them there
It shows transparency in our Police force and that no one is above the law! As a custodian of Law & Order in our beautiful Island he should have known better. Well done to our Chief of Police!!!!
That is bad ,this will certainly have a bad impart on the police force….Make sure that the police officer is punished severely enough as an example…99 days for the thief but 1 day for the master…kick him out from the police force .
well is another political hand picked worker showing his true colors.
Weed them out all the bad eggs.
At least he is caught early in his career. Not deserving to be an officer of the state. His training had not transformed him. He has to find another form of employment. He has ruined his career as a police.
stop beating on the police back! everybody makes a mistake but this is a sign times are too hard salaries need more than 1% raise and imagine all that taking place under skerrit wach when we have access to ALBA MONEY, VENEZUEA MONEY, CHINESE MONEY AND ALL OTHER MONEY now what do you think will happen under LENNOX LINTON WATCH! a man that have no connections and international friend. change is a must not an option but not at that expense but rather at the uwp loss of the THREE SEATS they have
In little Dominica where most people know each other with a criminal record who will give him a job? First he has to face the Courts and then be sentenced.
A good D/can Samaritan might give him a job. Or my advice would be for him to purchase a piece of land if he does not yet have one and grow fruits, beans and vegetables also for export if that is possible. He could be his own boss and not have to answer to any employer.
God forgives!
What a shame
This is not good news but based on the article there is not enough information to make any comments so in the interest of both parties I will wait until more information are released on the matter. In the meantime, I will treat the matter as a criminal complaint or allegation and let the process run its course.
Just for that?
It is always the little man that pays for his crimes. All them big man that was involved in bin and fertilizer boreball are yet to be arrested. Them big fellers that are allegedly involved in lying stealing and cheating are still holding top Government positions and not a darm thing is done, but the little policeman has to pay for their sins, magua sa.
@ Doc.Love, Are u an ……..? This guy is paying for no one’s crime but his;and that is because there is enough evidence to prove his guilt. There is no room for your politics.
way papa alas! allu doh satisfying with what allu have. stay within your means allu doh hearing?
wow all the calls and they got him, your supposed to uphold the law not break it,guess the girlfriend is in charge.
Life is full of suprises
Name names, DNO. Is it because it’s a police officer who has been charged?
Im glad I saw admin post this reply to someone else but they cannot post names unless the person is charged! -my name!!- TON EH man!!
So why isnt the name given….if it was someone else.. they wud have published the name…..
Because they haven’t yet been formerly charged
bus i just gonna copy and paste…Im glad I saw admin post this reply to someone else but they cannot post names unless the person is charged! -my name!!- TON EH man!!
When he is the one to protect,he is the one committing crime this guy should be made an example of the full force of the law.
@Fast N Furious, You are so right for the first time. That’s why I cannot stand a bone in this DLP administration because we voted them to protect us and help us get a job but instead they are busy committing crimes. They should be made an example for all administrations to learn. My correct name is SEKO and I know what I talking about.
@ Fast N Furious, Don’t blame the student for learning what the TEACHER taught him. Is just that the student was caught while the TEACHER always has an EASYDOOR out.
who is that!!!!!!????????
Why dont u guys show the criminals if it was us local members of dominica u all would put our pic up u all ar jus to much
Way Papa.
Why they don’t want to call name
if was someone else like my self
they would be fast to call names
Shame shame shame,
right on Q
his bus break down man,,,
laughable…..really
I want their names… Let me see their faces as well
How Ironic…..You arrest people for stealing and now you have been arrested for committing the same crime
Why aren’t their names there…. I wanna know who they r
Oh boy! Another sad story.
I wonder though…Would DNO have given this story “BREAKING NEWS” status if it were an ordinary Joe Blow and his GF who were involved? Would the story have read, for example:”BREAKING NEWS. Baker and his GF arrested for stealing parts from a bus”?
What a sad story, you made your family proud and turn around and put water in their eyes.
now my question is who is guading the guard?
While it is a darn shame that the policeman was caught stealing why not give the young officer a promotion like they did with other officers who were also caught stealing much more than the young officer.
One officer say he put the money to dry and when he return the money fly. One said he must have swept thousands in the garbage bin. What about the convenient displacement of evidence; stolen motorcycle; the selling of guns etc.
No wonder the police force has a thin section of integrity and the other section is pure dishonesty-the part where the Government politicians resides
Square pegs in Round hole. You embarass your selectors boy.
Who watching the guard
u will get bail my boy because a murder just get bail the bus driver from st.joe lost his life and this man is out today
Arrest the “seniors” that handling more drugs than the dope dealers too! It wouldn’t have place in the cells if police officers have to take jail themselves. Certain drug lords can get away with what they do because they are being assisted by police insiders. Stupes! Anyway this one disgraced himself for bus parts so strip him off his title and let him do the time! & his girlfriend too!
any-ways that a big dis for the police force i though you guys were there to protect us from thieves but it turn out you guys are the thieves SHAME PAN AR U
Well no one is above the law and if you break it then you must pay the consequences.
Shame on you officer cause you should no better. Man still have no brain, even after so many decades the drama of Adam and Eve leaves on.
Why can’t the same survillance tech be conducted on known drug dealers.
ha ha ha
…Things must be busy in D/A today..Waw I’m the first one to comment on this.
Hope they get charged accordingly. Things are so hard in this country even police officers are stealing!
Unbelievable!
It looked to you that you were the first one. There must have been more comments ahead of you which were not yet moderated.
Yes! Dominica is busy and busy buzzing about this news. So is DNO with the news. We never know what will occur next. Stay tuned
Police officers steal everywhere in the world. Canada – Toronto is no different. From time to time a few are arrested, stealing money and the drugs that they seized from criminals. Also for rape and assault. What else is new?
Things are hard all over not only in DA. We never satisfy with what we have aways want to live above our means
SMH….Case of who will guard the guard.
How to find true blue people to protect and serve?
ehbeh look sin
…. smh
better them than me…….shame
Why the name of the police officer is not in the article DNO? Like all other people.
ADMIN: This is the last time we are going to say this because we have said it a million times before: we cannot publish the name of an accused unless he or she has been formally charged in a court of law. It appears people don’t read.
Admin i feel your frustration. Hang in there, our people might get it in the next century.
Thank you Admin, they read well but have no integrity so there only concern is beff. You have a responsibility to provide info but with keeping with the rules of your business. these guys don’t care about that. Well I do. thanks for reminding them.
DNO, they have a short memory; cannot retain anything. I recall you have stated this more than once. It makes sense. If people are not yet charged, their names and pictures are withheld until they are charged. This is why the term “suspect” is used in some cases. It is the same in other countries.
Sorry, I meant to click “Like” after reading the note from admin. Pity there is no undo button!
So how come you can print all these negative things about the Labour party. All those false allegations and accusations.
How come you can tell people about the DAAS bobol. The land ,money ,rafles and false investments even though there was no arrests. And the campaign financing.
Wayyy papa.. so when they going to arrest those in high office for bigger crimes?????
We a not above the law justice for one justice for all. Bring back the good all days of respectable police men..
I am not stating that those in previous years were not honest. I recall some policemen and also women. They looked honest. . Even as married men, they had their fault and weakness as most men do – girlfriends. This is what I knew about some of them.
Consider today is totally different from bygone years. We did not have TV, Internet and computers then. People were not as curious and aggressive as they are today, wanting to know everything. Putting it mildly, nosy for that matter.
We knew nothing much or nothing about what was going on in those establishments. We also did not give it a thought. We were too innocent and trusted every one. We placed people with certain positions on a pedestal and thought they could do no wrong.
This also includes politicians, those who headed Dominica of those bygone years who probably stole a lot of money from Dominicans when Great Britain of all sent money to the Treasury.
We never knew if other world organizations sent money to Dominica. We never knew where the money went and if they took it. We never gave it a thought nor questioned them. If we would ever do so, we would not have received a response and probably told to mind our business.. These and more.
Therefore, when you criticize your government (if you do), keep this in mind. In those days, Dominica was deprived of a lot of financial assistance which could have aided it and taken it out of poverty including the poor people.
I state this to be fair so that you will open your mind to this, that those whom you accuse of corruption (if they are) probably could not be half as bad as those in bygone years. Much was hidden from “the people” in those days while they lived in luxury and without want.
We did not question how many times they were out of the country, where they went to and the reason why they are not in D/ca. We did not ask to see the financial record of the PM’s (Chief Minister’s) travels. We did not emphasize transparency.
In those days, Dominica was poor. Some people were poor unlike today. There were few jobs. Why did an influx of D/cans migrate to the U.K. and elsewhere, the majority of them? Yet did anyone hold it against the government in those days, saying “We want jobs”? Not at all. If they did, few did and I knew nothing about it. In any case, those governments were not concerned about getting jobs for nationals. This is being fair and just. Food for thought.
So they hold one.. NEXT !!
Be careful for yourself and those close to you as relatives and friends. Be aware of this saying: In many respects, say: “There but for the grace of God go I”.
Inform others about it and teach them. We never know which way the table will turn, in whatever manner and when we least expect it.
what a shame bringing down the dignity of the Dominica Police Force! There are so many police 0fficers working so hard and that thief going to give the force a bad name. Beat him!!!!
That is what I call public embarrassment! You could have credited the bus parts from an auto shop until month end … then pay when you get your salary. So much good work the police force is doing; it only takes one young “Monkey” to give all the others a bad name. Shame on you!
That’s not very common, a police being prosecuted. I guess you have got to get caught red handed
you guys can be so foolish sometimes. You fail to se that the police had to respond to some information to catch him red handed? They did their jobs and you sill finding fault. What do you want? tell us.
