Brothers charged with murder in Eggleston shooting

Randolph Gustave makes a sign after leaving court

Two men have been charged with murder in relation to a shooting incident in Eggleston on July 5, which left another man dead.

Brothers, Jeremy Gustave and Randolph Gustave, appeared in court on Monday, July 17, where the charges were read to them.

They did not enter a plea since the matter is an indictable one.

After the court hearing, Jeremy was sent to the hospital for medical attention as requested by his lawyer, Kondwani Williams and ordered by Magistrate Allie Gill.

The matter was adjourned until August 14.

The men are charged with the murder of Glen Alphonse who died at the Princess Margaret Hospital from a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was on a bus in Eggleston when he was allegedly shot by the two men.

They subsequently surrendered to the police on Thursday, July 13.

Hello and good afternoon my people. Why can’t any of our elected officials from any party stand up and submit a No Bail Bill for the for following Crimes.
    1. Murder
    2. Rape
    3. Kidnapping
    4. Shooting
    5. Possession of A loaded Firearm
    6. Felony sale or Possession of controlled substance
    7. Felony Assault with a weapon(knife).

I suspect that both perpetrators will be out on bail.

I think it’s because they say you’re “innocent” until proven guilty.
And lawyers have all kinds of ways of finding loopholes.
Our local lawyers just there running circles around our office of the DPP and the police investigators and getting all kinds of murderers and rapists and child abusers to “beat the rap” and then return to our small communities feeling “more man than before” because they know that they can literally “get away with murder”.
The police is expected to “protect and serve” and the DPP is expected to “prosecute crimes” and put the perpetrators of these heinous acts right where they belong – far away from decent law abiding citizens of our country.
All you people really have to do better. Especially the Office of the DPP.
The future of our country is literally in your hands.

In view of increasing crimes, I believe that a bigger detention center and/or prison will have to be built to accommodate them.
In addition, their attorney’s are instrumental in pleading for them to be bailed. You know the old cliche as I term it, “It is their first offense and they did not waste the Court’s time.” They say it is in the D/can Constitution – Law.
Disappointingly and sadly Toronto has its share, no exception the US and Europe. The democratic world is too lenient on criminals.
I recently had a conversation with someone about lawyers who get a big chunk of money when they sue for their clients and win the case.
I told the person of what I read that: The Gates of Heaven was destroyed. St. Peter accused Satan of it. St. Peter asked him and he denied it. St. Peter said, he will get a lawyer to settle it. Satan replied: “Tell me, St. Peter, where in Heaven you will find a lawyer?” Get the drift of this?

        To: WestindianCarib

Hello and good afternoon my people. Well how can shooting not be a Crime. If someone shoot you and you live then it’s an Assault in the First Degree but If you die its Murder which are serious Crimes. Please get a copy of the Penal Code and read it otherwise you will get into trouble because not knowing the law isn’t a defense.

Not everybody who is in favor of bail wants to see the perpetrators of these terrible crimes out on the streets.

Many of them simply do not want the taxpayers to have to have to pay for their room and board.

On the other hand many who are against bail wish the system would hear the cases sooner making
bail unnecessary for the innocent parties.

I know this is a long shot but many of us want more prisons to have a faith based approach to rehabilitation.
This would mean an evangelical chaplaincy service, and a strong prison ministry.

The way of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is the same for those inside as it is for those on the outside. Many convicts have been converted to Christ in jail, and their lives have been completely changed.
But they need to know they can be saved by believing Christ died for their sins and rose again, and receive Him as their Savior. Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, St. John 1:12, and Romans 1:16.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

I feel so sad that Satan uses a goat as a symbol which so many people take delight in displaying.
Apparently many people do not know who satan is. He is not to be played with! The only people who are covered and protected from the enemy are those who are truly saved. I am not talking about a church building kind of salvation necessarily, but a particular group of people who have a relationship with Christ Jesus, obeys his commandments and statutes, and seeks to do his will on a daily basis.
These people may be a in a combination of various churches that profess Jesus Christ ONLY as lord and savior.
Salvation is a free gift, but we must all be willing to make the move to Christ! he sees our hearts! You can say that you love someone and don’t show it!
Those who are not covered under the blood of Jesus Christ may be in danger of satan’s manipulation. You may be mad at me but the only prayer the lord hears from sinners is (save me).

    • analy thomas
      July 18, 2017

continuation: other than that his eyes and ears are open unto the righteous! It may sound harsh, but this is in fact the most crucial prayer that a constant sinner needs. God will do the rest. I also want us to understand that we are all sinners but of course, a born again sinner will not deliberately plan to go steal or kill…… or do anything to grieve the Holy Spirit. Peradventure he/she commits a sin the cross is made available to repent and walk in fellowship with God. We should avoid all sins as Christians. Paul asks is we should continue in sin that Grace may abound!
Unfortunately, those who are not covered under the blood can be manipulated by satan, his demons and even humans who work for him.
We all have angels assigned to us (unless we sell our souls) but they become activated by the word of God! If we do not live the living word how then can we even use the word to protect us? you see? Satan had two offices as stated in Isiah.

      • analy thomas
        July 18, 2017

        continuation:
He was an anointed cherub and an archangel. This means that he knows about the anointing and has known for millions of years… maybe more???? Archangels fight! so you see? You on the other hand only came on earth a few years ago.
You see the only body which can defeat satan is the body of God! The Holy Spirit! everything else operates under the Holy Spirit! (Trinity…..)
demons are attracted to what they see, hear and smell. This sign is an invitation to the demonic by humans who should be seeking the protection of God! Whether you know what the sign mean or not, members of this society and demons know.
I.E, A baby may not know what closing and opening the hand in an upright pattern means. You however know that it means come! You would come won’t you? ahhhh
People, we are in the last hour! the bible say that only fools say that Christ is not coming yet!
No one knows when but if we stay prepared he will show up… whether it is when we die or he comes…
        take…

      you are a fool

      • July 21, 2017

        You are a fool?

        How so?

A fool refuses to believe the word of God and denies that Jesus is coming again.

A fool closes his eyes to evidence and plugs his ears to logic.

A fool chooses the pleasures of sin for a season and says no to righteousness.

Eventually they close the box over his face and he is gone for ever.

He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to keep what he cannot lose.

The fool says in his heart no God for me.

My friend turn now from your folly and embrace the Christ. BELIEVE that He died for your sins and rose again. RECEIVE Him as your personal Savior by asking Him into your heart and life.
        Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 1 John 5:11-13, Revelation 3:20.

        Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

    • July 24, 2017

      This is an excellent comment.

There are churches that preach a watered down gospel and beyond that they do not provide any in-depth
Bible teaching on the Christian life. Nothing is said about how Christians are to be separated from the world and live holy lives.

Only people who are born again are protected by the blood of Christ against the attacks of demons. Then unless they understand spiritual warfare and know how to use the weapons of our warfare they can still be overcome.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

Hello and good afternoon my people. You answered your own question in regards to the gun but it seems like you don’t understand the Criminal Justice System. One brother got into an argument with the victim over a seat but they also had a prior argument. The other brother passed him a gun which he used to shoot and kill the victim , therefore he acted in concert which makes him just as guilty as the actual shooter. Please if you ever serve as a Juror please don’t allow the Lawyer to fool you.

I previously stated that one could have been an accomplice. They were together. Those who were on the bus, near to them and saw what happened could verify this.
These young men really went astray. People have to have a wicked heart to injure/kill anyone. These are also the people we should pray for that they may turn from their wicked ways.
Imagine when babies are born they are so innocent, sweet, smiling and laughing little ones. As they grow older some turn out differently as these young men.
These are also the people we should pray for that they may turn from their wicked ways.

In the world of MS13 it is the gang sign representing La Mara Salvatrucha but this young man isnt a latino or from Central America so that would not apply…So who the hell knows what the sign means to this young man. We can all speculate and say this and that, but perception is key and ones reality is only based on ones perception. Your perception of me doesnt mean my reality is based on what you perceive of think or believe about me. So we can only speculate with base less opinions. It has no meaning. They think its gangster. In the US and a few other countries where gang activity is high, many of the gangs have developed hand signs to rep their set (represent their gangs) and communicate with each other. Many have secret handshakes to show that you are part of the gang. As for our locals, it means nothing really, we have no established gangs who engage in organised crime like crips, bloods, latin kings, MS 13, etc. This is just a rebellious youth thinking his gesture is cool. means nothing, nothing in Dominica at least. for more info on US gang life see these links: the last one The Game breaks down a few signs for you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gangs_in_the_United_States ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JznIwDRetlE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QipP_q7HSR4

Keep praying, nothing wrong in that, but God says he will help the man who helps himself first you church monkeys. So stay praying, wait for the savior while we get slaughtered in these streets. wait for it. Action is needed. Not talk or pie in the sky. Not redemption in the next life. We want to live this life comfortably.

Prayers alone will not fix it :?:

Where ever it is, Dominica or Canada, we must be willing to do our part. Our governments, police, and courts should be taking a close look at what is righty expected of them and make necessary changes.

A breakdown in morals will always result in an increase in violence. When the moral code God has given us is not followed it will bring an increase of murders. I do not know what the scientific connection between the two is but observation shows there is a connection.

Sadly, many people even Christians are ignorant of this. History shows communities and nations have in the past been saved from moral ruin and revolution by prayer, a return to the uncompromised preaching of the word of God, and a genuine revival of New Testament Christianity.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.

    • July 18, 2017

Beginning in their home and then in Sunday school or church young people should be taught the way of salvation.

They need to hear that we are all sinners. Our sins have separated us from God. We cannot earn salvation by going good works or even by religious activities. But on the cross all our sins were laid upon Christ. The Bible says *All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned ever one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.* (Isaiah 53:6) On the cross Christ bore our punishment so we can go free.

Children must be taught they can be saved by believing that that the Lord Jesus died on the cross for them and rose again.

*For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.* (John 3:16)

*… Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, …* (Acts 16:31)

      Continued ….

      • July 18, 2017

        Continuation:

By getting saved when they are young they can by the grace of God avoid a life of crime. The former Director of the F.B.I., J. E. Hoover, said *A child brought up in Sunday School is seldom brought up in court. This is even more so if the child receives Christ as his or her personal Savior.

Churches that preach the gospel and teach the way of salvation through faith in the shed blood of Christ alone (John 1:7) have a great role to play in molding the next generation.
