Crew of Venezuelan vessel for court tomorrow

The captain and crew of a Venezuelan vessel intercepted by authorities in Dominican waters on Monday will appear in court tomorrow.

This was revealed by police prosecution when Magistrate Ozzie Lewis inquired about the non appearance of the men at the Roseau Magistrate court today.

Inspector Claude Weekes reported Wednesday that police have been investigating the details surrounding the presence of the boat in local waters.

The vessel, with six men on board, had been taken to the Fond Cole’ coast guard base after being intercepted.

Last minute news about the Venezuelan boat : Finally this innocents fishermen has been released they are now back home in Venezuela. from their recent experience at Dominica their history of terror included:
Been kicked in their noble parts by the coward Dominica Coast Guard crew who make the interdiction. This men behaving more like mobsters than a law enforcement agency also offered to kill the fishermen one by one with a shot in the head to be then throw away in to sea until some illegal merchandise inboard of the Venezuelan boat appears. Of course nothing was found they were only performing the task of to deliver some fresh on ice fish to Portsmouth where a well known and respected marine agency was notified well in advance.

That’s how the coke and crack gets to D/a, some Venezuelans even live in D/a. The police know that. They know about the ones that live by B*mba in s**t, they go and come.

How you think the 3 fellas get killed in de high seas last year. The Venezuelans boat never have money I hear….why, is de D/a boats that bring $ to dem – risky business but Guada waters are too tight for the Venezuelans so dem go out dere to deal and transfer $ for coke, sometimes D/a streets are flooded and at that time you never find crack heads beggeng for money. It’s dirty, it’s real.

I am sort of tired of hearing that but I guess it will keep happening because they always manage to get away. If anything is found make an exaple of them and if nat they are in our territorial waters without our permission. Let us try to get some respect in this country we allow people to trample on us too much.

Did the venezuelans tricked magistrate aussie by having him wait for them in the court or the police failed Aussi.Well i guess some form of miscommunication is going on in the legal system, what could be termed as technicalities, and it may not occur by accident but by incompetence or deliberate decision.just asking if they were not charged as yet then why waste the time of the magistrate by having him calling for them using whatever legal document is infront of him.I infer therefore it is ok to charge them ,don’t allow them to appear in court ,then do further investigation ,then take them to court and dismiss the charges. Is this laughable or what?
