My heartfelt sympathy to his family. I feel your grief and pain of losing your loved one and in such a manner.
How sorry I am to hear that another Dominican lost his life through violence. A life lost can never be regained. Why do those people with wicked minds and bad tempers resort to violence and murder? Whoever you are, you have murdered a brother, a son of the soil, one of your own. One day you will pay a price to God for this murder for, “Thou Shalt Not Kill”.

According to you, “quote and quote”, people home will be safer, i do not think so, and to you I must say, no one, I say no one have the right to take another person life, even so taking the law in his or her hand, period

If someone caught him in their house, instead of taking the law in their hands, all he or she had to do is call the law enforcer/police

As the saying goes, no one knows what the future wholes, especially with this thing call COKE and RUM which is taking over the island and destroying, both young and old

PATIENCE people PATIENCE. Since you and I were not there, we have to b quick to hear and slow to speak. Let the investigators do their jobs. When too many people are involve, the news are never the same. If it was murder, I hope the people involved does not get away. If we know who they are, we should not cover up their sins. Let authorities know and let them and God deal with them.

We need to pray for our country and our family. We might be running our mouths, but it might be our family members who is involved. We have to make sure we know what our children are doing or involved in. Pray, pray, pray.

He had injuries. This means that he was beaten and left to die by someone or more people. They could have beaten him until he died.

What happen to the days of old when people were fighting or having some sort of conflict, they would lift up their heads and say ” If wasn’t for God eh?
Turn to God!! May the fear of God reign once again in Dominica!!

    hang em high

    • think first
      February 14, 2013

@clint eastwood, why you guys like to run to conclusion so fast nou? You are calling for them to be hanged before the state police convict them of murder or any crime. FYI, the reason why their names were not released is because police still investigating the matter and as of now, all we know is three men are being questioned by the police. Can you on that basis hang them? Furthermore, we are not even sure if the one murdered or those being questioned are from Laudat as reported since Laudatians are saying they are not from that village. Relax guys let the police do their job! In the mean time, pray that after investigations are over and the true criminals (if murdered) has been identified, it will not be your brother, relative or close friend that. Else your call to hang them might take a different tone.

DNO, neither victim nor the man in custody was/are from the community of Laudat.
    Kindly correct your error.
    Thank you
ADMIN: We have to wait for the police to give us that info. Until then we cannot change it.

While I agree that the police have not given any info regarding the three in custody, the police gave the info regarding the victim.

Admin you even have time for these posters.

You report the news as you get it. Instead of posters being grateful, we finally get up-to-date news they criticism.

I lived overseas and before DNO it would take sometimes months before i know what is going on in my country, now because of DNO i get to know news even before people living in Dominica.

But instead of being grateful we criticize… What a people!!! I say thanks DNO… Continue to grow!!

I agree with octo though. You can know the news before people living in the country, but knowing the accurate news is best. If you are not certain of where the persons are from, don’t say anything. Giving vague information is better than inaccurate information.

in your thirst for beff (news)it does not matter to you whether DNO publish inaccurrate info. Suffice it to say what I have been hearing on other news outlets gives the correct info including the police.

Think of it this way…..at the same time, they have to be careful in the information being reported. They also have a duty! There is no sense in printing false or wrong information… they can say – will keep you posted, or details will be made available once they have been confirmed.

Mistakes do happen – but if they choose to print wrong/false info that’s in no way beneficial or good reporting.

I endorse your comments. There are those in DA who love receiving letters, even email messages but who do not like writing and responding.
Thanks to DNO we who reside overseas get first hand news and know what is happening in Dominica.
Sometime ago during the course of a telephone conversation with someone in DA, I spoke about certain news that I read on DNO. The person said, “I have not heard that.”
Yes! We must be grateful to DNO. It costs us nothing to access DNO and read the news.
I occasionally say to others, “I am going to check DNO” to see what is happening in Dominica. :) I love to do that, sometimes leaving my chores for a while too. :)
One of my close friends has not yet hooked up her computer. Whenever I speak to her, practically daily, she asks me if I accessed DNO and what news occurred in DA. There are times I will inform her before she asks me.
Therefore, thank you DNO! I am grateful. Even those who do not have computers hear about the News you publish! They, too, are grateful. God bless!

Have you read the story properly.
Wow!!! are you saying that the man went into bushes to inflict injuries on himself which caused his death.

      • Think about it
        February 14, 2013

It is possible he got those injuries from a fall. Also they didn’t say if the injuries were as recent….

This right here is really sad:(

When will we learn to value human life? Bring back the death penalty!

    • check yourself
      February 14, 2013

I agree!! instead of going around asking whether or not they should or should not raise the age of consent. they should be asking “do you think that the death penalty should be re introduced” and “do you believe that bringing back the death penalty would help curb crimes such as murders”i believe the majority would say yes to both questions. murderers wants to take the lives of others but they do not want to die themselves. smh
