A 24-year-old Jamaican woman was remanded in custody after being accused of placing her 2-year-old daughter on a four burner stove.
Media reports from that island indicate the child is in hospital suffering from intensive burns.
The woman has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
According to media reports on May 27, the woman had a domestic dispute with her common law husband and locked herself in a room where she reportedly placed the child on the lit stove.
The screaming of the child attracted neighbors who rescued her and rushed her to hospital.
The court has ordered a psychiatric evaluation of the woman.

she aint sick at all what physco evaluation that. if she was mad she should wait when the man come back and burn him, not the child. the child did not send to call her. You have your problem with your man, deal with him and live the innocent child out of it, but as i always say wicked people have their turn and it those be worse. Lord stretch your healing hands over this child and protect him or her always.

What is wrong with mothers nowadays, i understand the stress of handling a child because i have one of my own. But to punish your child for a man.not now fro you to get stronger and focuse more on your child. From my point of view she not no dam crazy, she did it on purpose and she know what she was doing. she deserve to be punished.

For a man she burning a child? I would burn her right back. Many cases of abuse of that nature stem from woman have issues with their man. The man leave them, or have another woman they take it out on their children

I would put her in a boiling pot of water everyday for the rest of her life for her to be reminded and feel some of what she’s put that poor child through. God these stories of these so-called mentally whatever people is really irritating.
