Mahaut man remanded for stealing motor scooter

free prisonerDanny Toussaint, of Mahaut, has been remanded at the State Prison after being arrested and charged for stealing a Typhoon motor scooter.

Police PRO, Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste, said Toussaint was arrested on Saturday 14th May, 2016 and appeared before the Magistrate’s Court in St Joseph.

It is alleged that Toussaint stole the scooter, registration number PN321, belonging to Bronson Prosper of Stockfarm on February 19, 2016 at Mahaut.

    Stealing a scooter belonging to someone. How far did he go with it? He should know that he would be caught while driving it.
    I guess the scooter was not locked. Owners, lock your scooter, etc. so that thieves are not able to drive off with them. Some people who see them will not be able to resist stealing them.

    If you had been arrested for 5 kilos of cocaine, you would be walking the streets as we speak. For theft, you will surely be sentenced to a prison term.
