One man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing death which occurred in the community of Fond Cole on October 8.
Dead is Curvin Williams commonly called “Big Six.”
Police PRO, ASP Claude Weekes, said the incident occurred at about 10:30 pm when Williams was allegedly stabbed by a man.
Williams was transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
Weekes stated after the man was arrested and taken to court this week and was transferred to the Psychiatric Unit at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) for Psychiatric evaluation.
“It is believed, or it appears that he has a particular condition, whether mental condition or not and the court, in the circumstances and in all fairness to the trial and to the victim as well, we have to always remember, notwithstanding whatever the condition of an accused man, he is always innocent until proven guilty,” Weekes said.
He said following the evaluation the man will return to court October 26, 2015.
It is too bad he did not stay far away from that man. It is amazing that they are mental and they can still murder people. A man as that should not have been out in public.
I hope God had mercy on the man\’s soul. May he rest in peace. Amen!
It is unfortunate that the young man lost his life senselessly, however, let this be a lesson to others. Do not tease and torment persons who are mentally unstable. You never know when they’re going to snap. Persons do it all the time and think it is amusing.
Hmmmm
