Men of interest in Eggleston shooting known to be residing in Yam Piece police say

The police are now seeking Jeremy and Randolph Gustave

The police have said that two men, who they are seeking and who they believe can assist in the shooting death of another man, are known to be residing in Yam Piece but have family connections in Eggleston.

The police are appealing to the general public to assist them in locating Jeremy Gustave and Randolph Gustave, who they say are originally from Belles.

“The police believe that these two men can assist with the investigations,” Police PRO, Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste said.

He stated that members of the public are advised to be on the alert as they believe the two men are armed.

The police are seeking the two following the shooting death of Glen Alphonse on July 5.

Alphonse was shot in the chest while on a bus in Eggleston.

He was pronounced dead at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

    The Crisis Of Our Land

People of Dominica, there is something very serious, something very wrong happening in our Dominica, especially with our young generation (the young men). I have mentioned that situation several times on DNO. And now that it has come way too close to home I have decided to speak much louder

People, no matter how young they are, our children are listening, they are observing, but how much do we, adults, consider that fact when we enter our mood of advocating all sorts of deplorable, or disgusting vibes of discourage and death.

Our children are exposed to the negativity, the darkness, the futility that we are spewing at each other from a day to day basis, we fail to consider their wellbeing, but their mind is being affected by this constant strife, discord, and disdain that we continue to nurture, as selfishness continues to prove that we care nothing about the generation of tomorrow.

    • July 10, 2017

People, we need to stop this; for we are hurting no one but the generation who is coming after us. The minds of our young people are plagued with hopelessness and emptiness, motivating them to fill up that hole, that void, that bareness that is within them and so they turn to drugs and crime for satisfaction.

We the Xavier and Harve family in Giraudel are peaceful and well-mannered people, we are a people of God and so is our children. My nephew is only 29 years old; but he is now gone from Life in this world, because of the fact that the minds of two other young men are poisoned to the highest limit. Why! Why! Oh why!

The Yam Piece community seems to be riddled with criminals. A serious urban revitalization plan needs to be put in place for that community. Goal number one is a name change. This thread doesn’t allow space to get deep into the psychology of names and linked behavior. This is what a true politician would be doing in concert with the Division of Planning on the island. Then again, we have neither at the moment. What we have are political bosses sharing the tax payer’s largess with their chosen supporters. Sad day to be a Dominican. You have Francis Severin PhD on the island and you banish him, because of political warfare and the quest to keep the masses in ignorance. This version of the Dominica Labor Party is a national disgrace to the human race.

If these karwat are in a gang and the members are committing violent crimes, if the police really wants to put an end to gangs in Dominica, they have to arrest every member of the gang for any crime that a gang member commits because they are all accessories to each others crimes. if a man steal a chain, shot a person, rob a store, threaten a person… arrest every known gang member they are all accessories in connection with the rime and let them all have to prove their innocence for every single law any gang member breaks! Do that and you will see how fast violent and petty crime will stop in DA!

Put warrant out for and arrest every single member any time something happen, they will think twice before they pee pee and will understand the country and society does not fear them it is them that have to fear US!

In little Dominica? How disappointing. Those guys look vicious. They are young men. How could babies grow up to be so bad and they are brothers?
How did they get the gun(s)? Who gave it to them or who did they buy it from?
It is exactly as I stated. Guns are brought into the country and sold to irresponsible people. They figure guns are their strength to help them do as they feel and place fear into others. This is the result of it, killing the man and brazenly and recklessly so on a bus with passengers.
What did the man do to them that they shot him? These guys deserve to be put away for good. I wonder if they could be rehabilitated.

Great suggestion. I hope the Attorney General and Fake Police Chief are reading this article. When the said POCISION was running rampant Mamo authorized a “WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE” poster for him. The then SSU (no nonsense guys back then) went on the hunt without fear of being prosecuted if they shot him at the market, in church, in the jungle or walking up ministry steps. That is whats needed for these two vieux-negs.

Those are hard core gange members, Dominica wake up , the gangs are on your shore, protect your shores, custom , air , sea, guns , drugs, human trafficking, coming every day , drug dealer, with big houses, the court are corrupt, we have become a lawless state , who is minding the store?, NO LAW the judges are cat fighting among each other, everybody is getting away with murder, and running to GUADA thru the back door we are exporting our criminals to GUADA which give the rest of the law abiding Dominicans a bad name.

  24. July 7, 2017

If they know they are at yampis , they should flood the area with police, to flush them out, they just had a new set of new officers , graduated from the academy what are they doing ?, we had a prisoner escape from stock farm from pte Michel and no body is looking for him, mr Cabon he sleep at his mother’s home every nite, and you want the public to help , when there is a little peace full protest you have all your men in military fatigues slapping our senior citizens , that are standing for there right’s, and now you want us to help you, all of a sudden you are not a moo moo, you have not seen nothing yet, wait till Donald trump send all the Dominican misfits back with criminal histories, who has been to prisons in the states ,Canada, and England they are smarter than your police, if you cant solve this sh==t now, just Waite

    July 7, 2017

When two criminals escaped US jail what did they do? A national manhunt across state lines, posters saying ARMED AND DANGEROUS, our police are asking citizens to assist. Man people are scared as hell, two desperate criminals are on the loose and no information about them except this little piece from DNO. One thing is for sure, human life in Dominica is worth nothing. A man killed on a passenger bus, in broad daylight, in the presence of other people and life goes on like nothing happened.
We need prayers but that’s not enough.
Where is the minister for national security? Busy awarding contracts to unqualified wannabe builders who will fix him up later.
Dominica is at a new low and law abiding citizens should take measures to protect themselves because we may just end up in the crossfire by being in the wrong place at the wrong time or mistaken identity.

I don’t see how the police can get these guys alive. SSU and Task Force will eventually catch up with them but very likely there will be burials with no funerals. Folks these boys are crazy and really don’t give a darn so I would be very surprised if they are caught and brought to trial. They are what we call Vieux-Neg to the bone. Agreed. Old police jargon. Just like “The US is taking a course of action.” It can only mean one thing, the two me are wanted in connection with the murder. or the US is contemplating prosecuting the offenders for illegally exporting firearms to another country, if that is the case.

This is how it works and in other countries. The police do ask for assistance in apprehending criminals. You do know there are times a reward is offered for their arrest.
The police cannot be everywhere. In the meantime that they ask for the public’s assistance they are conducting their own investigation.
Someone may see them and inform the police or Crime Stoppers, incognito.
Furthermore, the people must do their part. It is also for their safety.

If there is one thing you do not do is to show them you are afraid. This could encourage them to harm you. Criminals love to see fear in people. They will think, here is a weak person.
There is nothing wrong in establishing eye contact with them as you pass by. They may think you are a strong, confident person.
If there is a nearby street that you could turn and walk on, do so. Otherwise just keep on walking, look straight ahead pray and hope for the best.

If my eyes happen to fall on them, immediately I would turn my eyes and pretend I do not see them but I would later telephone the police or Crime Stoppers.
It would be wise to say a prayer that they do not harm you. If you are a Christian Catholic, say in your mind, The Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel and your Guardian Prayer.

      • Let The Truth Be Known - Original

        Guardian Angel Prayer

      • July 11, 2017

Christ said *When you pray say, Our Father which art in heaven,…* (Luke 11:2) He did not say to pray to St. Michael. By the way, Michael is a an angel not a Saint. He is never referred to as a Saint
        in the Bible.

Christians have been given * … the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba Father…* (Romans 8:15)

A Christian can pray directly to God the Father in a time of danger using words like *Father in heaven I ask thee in the name of Jesus Christ thy Son let the merits of His precious blood protect me… *

Flawed religious practice does not help. On the contrary is robs people of the Divine help they might receive. If a religious practice is not in line with the Holy Scriptures it is indeed flawed. It matters not how long it has existed or how many people follow it.

        The Bible says:

*To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.* (Isaiah 8:20)

        Sincerely, Rev. Hill

      • July 11, 2017

When you are in a relationship with God and you are able to address Him as Father you will not be praying to angels or saints.

The Bible shows we are all sinners. Romans 3:10-23

We cannot save ourselves. Ephesians 2:8,9

Christ bore our sins on the cross and died for us to provide a full and free salvation. Please read it for yourself. Isaiah 53:5,6 and Romans 5:6-8

When we BELIEVE this, and RECEIVE Him as our Savior, we are born again and become children of God. St. John 1:11-13 with 1 John 5:11-13, and Revelation 3:20 :!:

When you have experienced this you will not pray to an angel nor a saint. No :!: You will *…come boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy. and grace, and HELP…* according to Hebrews 4:16.

        Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill.
