UPDATE: Missing man found dead in Carib Territory

A man who went missing in the Carib Territory on Thursday has been found dead in the sea.

He has been identified as Justin Valmond of Mahaut River.

Reports are that he went fishing on Thursday and did not return. The police said his body was fished out of the water on Friday.

According to residents in the area, Valmond went fishing on the rocks in the Gullet River area on Thursday morning and when his dog returned home without him relatives became concerned.

By 4:00 pm there were no signs of Valmond and an alarm was raised. Police from the Marigot district were also alerted.

Residents reported that his clothes and shoes were found on the rocks but he was nowhere to be found.

On Friday morning concerned villagers went looking for him and Valmond’s body was spotted floating in the sea off Mahaut River. It was retrieved with the assistance of the coast guard.

The body was transferred to the Princess Margaret Hospital and pronounced dead by a doctor.

The cause of Valmond’s death is unknown at this time.

It always saddens me to read/hear of especially the sudden passing of someone under such circumstances.
My condolence to his family and all others who personally knew him. My heart goes to you in this time of your grief. God’s consolation to you. May he rest in peace. Amen!
I do not know what his age is. He could have got a stroke or an aneurism or due to a strong current.
It would be a wise idea to go with at least another person when going to the sea or river, be it for fishing. Never go alone.

I really do not want to be critical but ADMIN please read over your work before publishing.

The Heading of the Story reads “Missing man found dead in Carib Territory”. The first paragraph reads “A man who went missing in the Carib Territory on Thursday has been found dead in the sea” My first instinct when I read the heading was the man who was associated with the burnt vehicle was found in the Carib Territory, because the story says Missing Man found.

The Story should really read “Missing Man from
the Carib Territory found dead at Sea” These little things makes a big difference. The story must match the heading.

…And some of us overlooked it. They are not as fault-finding, if not at all as you are. They are interested in the main story that, he is missing and what the cause of death might be.
There is such a thing as practicing psychology; being diplomatic.
You, too, could have worded your writing differently instead of being confrontational and dictating to DNO. Learn diplomacy in writing and no doubt in speaking.

J and T, you sound petty and immediately show that you accept mediocre work. I sympathize with you. These are the type of misleading stories that our school students have to read, no wonder the school teachers will continue to bash them for their writings, their compositions are poorly written as it often lacks substance.
Learn to accept constructive criticism, don’t just respond. For your own sake, that is if you are smart enough to figure it out, read over the heading plus the story. Then take it to the schools and get the students responses. Our media personnel must be accountable for what they produce to the public. Don’t hate me, open up your mind and learn something too.

There are times when we just need to shut up. Matt has a thing saying daily on his program, “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. Justice and Truth, what on earth does this wrongful worded piece of writing has to do with “There is such a thing as practicing psychology; being diplomatic.” Zeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!
        I am truly disappointed.
