Police charge three Grand Bay men with firearm offences

Three men from Grand Bay are now facing firearm charges after guns and ammunition were found in the vehicle they were occupying.

Kervin Henry, Casmore Ryan and Neil Bellot have been charged with possession of firearm and possession of ammunition without the holders of a firearm and ammunition holder’s license.

Police PRO, Pellam Jno Baptiste, said the men were stopped by the police on patrol close to Auto Trade in Canefield while driving a motor vehicle on November 2.

The vehicle was searched and two .38 Special Revolvers, 15 live rounds of .38 ammunition and six live rounds of .45 ammunition were discovered.

Additionally, Euro 28,883.70 was found in the vehicle.

The three were arrested and charged.

The motor vehicle and the European currency were seized for further investigations, Pellam said.

If Maria does not kill you, drugs will and if that does not help a bullet certainly will.

No condoning of wrong doings and illegalities. Drugs and guns are twin brothers. These sorts of illicit activities should be nipped in the bud. Drugs dealers and gun runners do the most horrendous acts to protect their trade. They wreak havoc on society. To the young, shortcut to a glamorous life is fraught with land mines and other life threatening dangers. The dazzling and glitzy life is inevitably short lived. Try to walk the straight and narrow road. Keep your distance from guns and drugs.

Double Trouble, please give an instance of my defending Dominica’ politicians? do you read my comments objectively? nothing is totally right or wrong, i do not get involved in partisan politics, at the end of the day, who ever is in power, Dominicans have to live and contribute. regardless of what is said on the sales of passports, haven’t Dominica and the other Nations, from the USA to Antigua benefitted some what from passport sales? Don’t be a fool Double Trouble. You can’t stay domicile in your cold environs and spout trash, all because you are partisan. If you do not know learn, if you know teach. Dominica can and will do without the likes of you.

I like that you know police, I really do! But on the other hand why are you all not investigating the passport program that has criminals all over the world arrested, charged, or wanted by international authorities> Is it not time that you all treat everyone the same way in this damn country? I am quite sure the reason for stopping the car was based on someone giving you a clue. Are you telling me you guys have gotten no passport clue? Well if not why not start with Alireza Monfared, who is now jailed in Irand after he resided in Dominica for 6 months and both Skerrit and Mano referred to him as a good man? To say somebody is a good man means you must have known the person. Why not investigate the person (s) or persons the man was hanging out with in Dominica, investigate the people we know corresponded with him and told him which account to send the money to? The law should not always be against the bear foot man while the new job of the police seems to be to protect the big boys

Money laundering is a CRIME all over the world not matter who is involved and what they are involved in. Once you see people or governments getting rich overnight and you know their salary cannot be the reason for their prosperity, then you know they are involved in some form of money laundering. Why not investigate those involved? You guys are going all out after the poor man that trying to buy a car with his drug money (that is wrong) but those that are no doubt involved BIG TIME in world money laundering that’s hurting our country, you all protecting them. No wonder Erika, Maria and others always judging us for our gross injustice

A blind man can see what those brothers are about, Euro currency, plus a piece and three occupants? my message to young Dominican men and women, the temptation of getting lured into illegal activities, comes with major consequences, and only regrets. Your friends , are the biggest enemies.

@Bob Denis and you are on DNO everyday defending politicians that doing worse than these guys? You all are so d*mn hypocrite in this country that it literally hurts to read what all you typing. It is indeed wrong for our young men and women to get into illegal activities to get money but please tell me if sale of our passports to criminals like NG Lap Seng, Diezani Madueke, Fracisco Corralo, Aliereza Monfared is any better and if that practice does not deserve the same major consequences you referred to

I DONT CARE who it is that break the law! Rich, poor, malaway, vollaire, escamoteer, PM, Opposition leader, Priest, Pastor, Senator, Parl rep or so called diplomats they ALL must face the music.

Sometimes we are too darn hypocrite by always talking that nonsense about poor malayway children being prosecuted and rich getting away blah blah, blah, blah. While this is absolutely true, we the people are the ones to ensure equal justice under the law and when that is not being done REMOVE those we elect to ensure that is done. Simply complaining about the same nonsense is not sufficient to effect change. Jail them I say because they have broken the law. STOP making excuses for those who break our laws and try hiding behind the ; “well everyone doing it so why can’t they.”

Jail them souplay Mr. Judge/ Magistrate!

Assertive like Mama Eugenia!
