Police investigate sudden death of British citizen

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a British citizen who resided in Mero.

He has been identified as 58-year-old Paul Galloway.

Police PRO, Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste said it was reported to the police about 6:30 pm on Friday the 30 of December 2016, that Galloway complained of feeling unwell.

The Fire and Ambulance Service was contacted and while Galloway was being transported to the St. Joseph Health Center, he became unresponsive.

He was examined and officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor

A coroner’s inquest will be convened and investigations are ongoing, Jno Baptiste said.

Dominica is not the only country people die suddenly. The population is small and so these occurrences are widely known, what with especially Internet and TV..
We should know people die at any age. Some get sick and survive, at least for some years. Others not.

There seems to be a lot of sudden death syndrome happening in DA. The question is what is causing it?

This is sad. Nationals will be hopefully informed if he died of natural causes.
Test his blood and urine to verify what he ate and drank that day.
May his soul rest in peace. Amen!

It would not surprise me if he had a massive coronary.

I would like to live to a ripe old productive and age with good health, but all that is say and done, that would be my preferred way to go.

Boy I don’t want to feel unwell in Dominica nou. Dominica is a very bad place to feel unwell wee because the only thing we good at responding quickly to is fire in sylverlake. We getting backhoe to clear the sight, acting fire chief to investigate and determine the cause of fire, PM wife to bring sleeping bags and comforters , PM to give each head of household a thousand dollars, and contractor to sign contract for new apartment s in less than no time. But to feel a little unwell in Dominica ? Boy we might as well learn to sing “nearer my God to thee”, except if we are connected to the team so we could be airlifted
