Police seek suspect in Loubiere stabbing

police investigateThe police have said they are seeking a suspect in a stabbing incident which took place in Loubiere on Tuesday evening.

The police did not name the suspect but are appealing to the public for assistance.

Police PRO, Acting Inspector, Pellam Jno Baptiste said the victim of the incident, Rene Mayers, is now a patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital nursing multiple wounds.

He said the 22-year-old, originally from Eggleston but living in Loubiere, was home when she was attacked at around 6:30 pm.

She sustained injuries to both her thighs, back and upper left arm from a sharp object.

Mayers was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department where she was examined by a medical doctor and then admitted.

A female suspect is being sought in relation to the incident.

Anyone with information which can assist the police with the investigation can contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 266-5164, 266-5165 and 266-5119. Persons may also contact Crime Stoppers Dominica at 1-800-8477.

Police, put out a bulletin and inform the suspect to turn herself in. If she does not and she is caught, the penalty will be doubled.

the police is not looking for the young lady because she is checking her sin as she want, even making plans to go Guada. If the police wants her they can pick her up.

Police, the joke is on you. I am unable to comprehend your request.
The victim is being treated in the hospital. She must have informed the police about the woman who stabbed her and the reason she did including her name and address. She may also know the man who drove her off.
You have at least basic information and you are asking the public to help you catch her? You did not even provide her name. How can they help you except probably a neighbor of the victim or relatives and friends who may have heard or know of the stabbing. The family may know the suspect.
Was the victim able to talk after the stabbing, while being transported to the hospital, while at the hospital and after she was admitted?
Police go with what you have. Release the name of the suspect and a picture, the latter, if you have one. The name, at least will assist. Then Dominicans who do not know the suspect could be able to help you. Otherwise where they are concerned it is a lame duck.

It is obvious you did not read the article properly.
Note: The Police are appealing “to the public of assistance.”
Error in word: The word is “for” assistance.
It also means if they know the suspect and where she is, they should alert the police who will arrest her there.

Bonjieeeeee where is ASP. Weeks (The best Police PRO in the region) when you need him?

Give jack his jacket, the government “may” not like him because he tells it like it is but he would have give us a description of the suspect that would enable kinder garden children to identify her even with an wig and heavy mascara on. I can say with certainty that ASP. Weeks is to the CDPF what the said Blessings (Mr.) is to Q95 and Dominica at large. They make the dead come to life with words but Pelham seems to be seriously lacking. Awarrh man Pelham you need to brush -up and get serious if you want to remain PRO. Chief Carbon take serious note and do something about it pronto!

The police is not interested in finding out who the suspect is. It’s as simple as arresting and questioning the driver of the car. . Well known business man.

If he is well-known, he should be known to the police. Someone saw him and probably gave his name to the police.
The witness the police needs is if there was someone in the house who noticed what the suspect did including anyone who heard her cry out and observed the suspect leaving the house and entered the car.
They really should question him. It is my feeling he will have a lot of questions to answer.
The police may have questioned him. You know what they are like. They will not divulge this information.
Dominica is a small country. It should not take too long to apprehend the suspect unless she left the country immediately after she committed the crime.
I think the police have proof. What are they waiting for to arrest her if she is in the country? Is she hiding out somewhere, at someone’s home? She cannot hide forever. Sooner or later she will be caught.
Do the police not know her name? If the police wants additional help, her name should be released.

Now answer this question police pro, how do you want the public to assist you, when they have no name nor a picture? Are they helping you find a needle in a hay sack? Does that make any sense? And one more thing i hope this young lady is being propected 24/7 because you don’t want that person coming to finish the job.

“A female suspect is being sought in relation to the incident.” While I believe that the public may be willing to assist law enforcement in this investigation, if you have a suspect based on eye witnesses or the victim’s own statement, is there some provision in the law where law enforcement cannot to say that law enforcement is seeking to question “Flowing River”, who is a person of interest in the attack. She was last seen wearing a blue jean shorts and black t-shirt with white prints saying, “leave my man alone”. She was last seen travelling Northbound in a White Toyota RAV4 . anyone with information is ask to contact law enforcement immediately. This girl is a suspect in an attempted murder; get her off the streets by providing the public more information to really assist.

I am yet to understand the logic when our police ask to assist in apprehending suspects and refuse to give names even when they know the name of the person they are seeking. I am unaware of any laws that prevent them from naming wanted suspects unless it is a sexually related offense of a minor that prevents them from doing so. Come on officer, give us a name so we can help you smoke that “alleged” criminals from their hiding places. After all, we all have a citizens power of arrest that we can exercise if needed.
