Repeat offender denied bail

Humphreys was on bail for two previous offenses
Humphreys was on bail for two previous offenses

A repeat offender from Fond Cole was denied bail after being accused of burglarizing Carlton A Phillip Motors on August 10.

Daryl Humphreys was bailed before on two previous occasions on offenses of a similar nature committed in 2012 and 2013.

He appeared before Magistrate Candia Carrette-George at a Roseau Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

According to information revealed by the court, Humphreys entered the business place as a trespasser and allegedly stole $20,160.30 in cash and also a vault valued at $2,600.

He was not required to plea since the offence is an indictable one.

Police Prosecutor Michael Laudat objected to bail on the grounds that Humphreys was already on bail for the two previous offences and had violated their conditions.

Humphreys told the court that he is innocent of the most recent allegations against him.

In an emotional plea he told Magistrate Carrette-George he is concerned about his two young children who are now being taken care of by his sister.

However, he was told that bail was closed and the matter will be reviewed on November 6.

The preliminary inquiry into the latest accusations is set for April 13, 2015.

Humphreys was on bail for allegedly burglarizing the Muslim Store in Roseau and being involved in a burglary of Springfield Trading.

The burglary at the Muslim Store took place on May 15, 2012, while the Springfield Trading incident took place on November 14, 2013.

Friend, you need deliverance. Only Jesus Christ can set you free. Why don’t you trust Him today? It was for your sins and mine that He died on Calvary’s cross. It is simple:
    1. Believe that you are a sinner _ “Rom. 3:23” All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
    b. Payment for sin – “Romans 6:23” Death “eternal separation from God, Rev. 20: 11-15 ”
    2. Repent -accept that you are a sinner and is in need of the Savior and you cannot help yourself-no earthly being can. Only a sinless lamb could; Jesus Christ alone! “Hebrews 9:23- without the shedding of blood there is no remission (forgiveness) of sins”
    b. John 3:15-16; Jesus loves you and long to set you free. Since He is just and will not force His will on you, He wants you to make that choice to freely repent and ask Him to forgive and save you. Will you receive Him today? It’s a decision that only you alone can make. He loves you but can’t allow sin into heaven. Will you believe, repent and receive Him today? It’s only when you receive Him you will become His child. “John 1:12-13- But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. Who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but Of God. ”

My friend only Jesus can set you free, only He can make that eternal difference in your life. In the eyes of man you may be seen or considered as a thief, but God looks beyond your faults and sees your need. The need to be forgiven, loved, accepted, delivered and set free from sin. Will you receive Him today?

From a heart that is burdened and praying for your deliverence. May God give you the courage and desire to say yes to His will.

Who are you? No one is forcing their religion on anyone. It is also advice for you. You detest hearing about the Word of God?
God knows who is good. Good people do not go to Heaven. Holy people do. Convert!

Too many thieves without just punishment on this island. Most of the people never see their stuff again. The article says nothing about the police recovering anything that links this guy with the theft.

A robbery every year – 2012, 2013 and now 2014 … I suggest you deny him bail before he starts planning his 2015 robbery. Thank you very much!

He was out on bail for two previous offenses and the cases have not yet been called/heard? What is going on?
He got two chances to be out on bail and he still continues to break, enter and steal? This man has a severe problem. This time he does not deserve bail. The saying, “Three strikes and you’re out.” He should be imprisoned for all three offenses.
Man, you need the blessing and grace of God to cease your addiction of thievery. God wants you to change your ways. Give him a Holy Bible and relevant prayers. He must change his evil ways.
He has two children. He is concerned about them. They need him and are obviously saddened for him and that he is not present with them. Furthermore, he is not projecting a good example to them. Then conduct yourself as a fruitful national.
The Law cannot bend to suit you. You must obey the Law otherwise pay the price. This time I hope you learn a lesson otherwise you will be in and out of prison for the rest of your life.
Can some religious people assist me accordingly?
