A 17-year-old secondary school student will have to face trial at the High Court for allegedly having unlawful sexual intercourse and committing the act of buggery on a nine-year-old girl.
The young man, who appeared before Justice Birnie Stephenson-Brooks on Monday, pleaded not guilty to the charges and will reappear in court on October 18,2010.
He is now out on $20,000 bail with one surety.
The defendant was put on curfew as part of his bail conditions whereby he is to remain within the confines of his aunt’s house between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. every day until the matter is concluded.
He was also ordered not to interfere with the complainant and to inform the police of any change of his address.
The lad also faces another charge of indecent assault.
The alleged incident occurred on September 1, 2008.

I have asked him not to call my daughter and i had to turn off the phone and call the police. I got no satisfaction from the police. I had to set her father on him and threaten to call welfare to get this boy to understand how serious i was. Concerning the published story: this is very sad news to read. If this is indeed true, I feel sorry for the little girl who will most likely have many issues stemming from this brutal assault on her. I just pray that she finds the peace of God and is able to live a full and happy life after this.

God condemned all of those behaviours in us in the pass; but now, In Jesus Christ, He is willing to forgive us.
We accept the idea that two men can get married just because they want to have sex with each other. Nowadays there is next to nothing about sexual conducts that is a normal behavior, but we continue to embrace this uncontrolled hunger of the flesh as the best food we can ever crave for.
When one or two of us are caught satisfying this hunger in whatever manner we can, the rest of us all cry foul, demanding that they be judged that way or this way. My question is who are we to demand or ask for the judgment we are asking for that 17 year old boy? Yes, he deserves to be judged, but Jesus said: “He who is without sin, cast the first stone”. Which one of us can pick up that stone and throw it at that boy?
Why do we not look at that boy’s mistake as a reason for us to ask God to teach us how to control, or turn away from our passions of the flesh, especially our sexual passion? Why do we not pray that our young men and women will surrender their lives to God, who will teach them to Love–the conducts and attitude that cause Joy, Peace, Kindness, Goodness, Patience, Humility, Endurance, and Self-control to illuminate through our words and actions. For those are the gift of God, which glorifies His Ways of Love in us. That is what God wants all people to do.
It is useless for us to call for the boy to rot in jail, or any of the despicable judgment that we are calling for against him, because God is the only Judge. And if He decides to forgive that boy, which I know He would do, if the boy would ask for His forgiveness, who can go against God’s judgment?
As for me, I can only hope that, that boy will find the faith that will teach to ask God, in Jesus Christ to forgive him. Let us not forget that some of us are mothers and fathers with young men, who can be driven to commit the same vicious act, because Satan is out to set as many of us as he can in his shameful trap, Do not ever forget that, as we judge those who do not do right according to what we decide is right.
