Esther Belleau, of Silver Lake, was granted bail in the sum of $60,000 after she was arrested and charged for possession of ammunition, alleged cocaine, cannabis and prohibited weapons.

She appeared before a Roseau Magistrate Court on Thursday in relations to a number of high-powered weapons and drugs found in the community recently.

According to reports from Police Public Relations Office (PRO), Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste, on Wednesday 9th, March 2016 investigations were concluded which resulted in the charges being preferred against Belleau.

As part of bail conditions she was asked to report to the Police Headquarters twice a week and asked not to commit offenses.

Belleau is being represented by Attorney-at-Law, Kondwani Williams.

On Saturday, February 20, 2016, police seized 24 rounds of 40-calibre ammunition, 30 rounds of 9-mm ammunition, one AK-47 magazine, one Uzi Submachine magazine and three 9-mm magazines, along with a large quantity of cocaine and marijuana locked in a public convenience at Silver Lake.

Belleau is said to be the Chairperson of the Silver Lake Development Committee.

Why only $60, 000.00 bail? Why not no bail? Are you going to investigate where the bail money came from? She was arrested and charged for possession of ammunition, alleged cocaine, cannabis and prohibited weapons. Did she make bail with the proceeds of the drugs sales? Are there any bodies on the guns found?

    Well,well,well.
    Dominica is truly corrupt.
    much,much more to be exposed.
    This is only the beginning.
We are going to see those who are being looked up to as the great and mighty come tumbling down.
    God is sick of it.

The Dominica Police are to be commended for their ongoing success in the war against drugs. Some drugs that enter Dominica are apt to reach the streets of American or Canadian cities so we are happy to see them being confiscated.

Again we see marijuana being sold along with cocaine
showing it is part and parcel of the drug trade. People who will sell marijuana will sell illegal guns because they are people with criminal minds who don’t care about the wellbeing of others. They are driven by the desire for financial gain.

I have met people who had been addicted and some who once sold drugs who heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and were saved by the grace of God. Their lives were transformed by the power of God.

It is no secret what God can do.
What He has done for others He will do for you.

Please get your Bible and read:

    Isaiah 53:5,6.
    Ephesians 2:9,10.
    1 John 5:11,12.
    Revelation 3:20.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

The guns are a decoy watch further. Why do they give up the guns because the gun is not the real thing, its only there rusting and cannot sell so get rid of them. A chairperson wee, the verb but Pelham is the subject.so now you can look for the object

      March 11, 2016

BEB I would assume that you see a genuine injustice taking place with this matter but please do some simple research. You could even read the article posted here on Dno just a few days ago which explained why names cannot be publicized in certain matters. Now you have a few options to deal with your perceived injustice, first you could start a movement to petition the government to amend the sexual offenses act of 1998 so as to allow the perpetrators name to be published. Second option would be to petition the government to update the laws so that no one who is charged but not yet convicted should have their name published. Until then please do not turn every situation into one where it is us vs them or rich vs poor. Let’s make it criminals vs us. Let’s unite to build the country that we desire so that we can live happy and productive lives on the nature isle

If the lady is the Chair person of the Silver Lake Development committee, which is a de facto mayor or prime Minister of Silver Lake, then it appears that she was just in the process of setting up her local defense force. Have they arrested the generals and the recruits?
Don’t tell me that an ordinary little lady has all those arms just for show.
