Money could be tempting and irresistible. At first she may have taken a little and then a little until she took more.
I feel sorry for you. This has tarnished your reputation, caused you to lose your job and to stand trial. I visualize in view of this it is no easy time for you and as you are wondering, what will people say, those who especially know you.
As some have advised you on this Website, pray, pray, pray. Read/study the Holy Bible. Go to church. Pray to God to assist you in every way.
Bear the consequences of your action. Do not give up.
Ask God for forgiveness with a humble and contrite heart. He has seen your weakness and knows what caused you to do this.
Make no excuses for yourself. Keep saying: “Jesus I Love You. I am sorry. Please forgive me for what I have done.” Then, “Jesus I trust in You.”
If you are sincere, the Divine Mercy, Our Lord Jesus Christ who said, “Trust in Me and Me alone” will forgive you and be with you. He will send his holy angels to surround you, guard you and support you. Obviously, you may not see them but they will be present.
Keep in mind all things are temporary and passing. Have confidence. You are young. One day, after all is said and done, you will rise above that and it will be behind you. Always look to the future. The Lord forgives. God bless you and assist you through this!

Please who are we to judge her ? People have to learn to stop those things ! Why the first thing is ” evil make her take the money” or ” it haven’t got work “… ! Jealousy makes people do anything when they want to see you go low. Low minded people.

men are sinful men make mistakes, but when we sin there are consequences whether you are forgiven or not, you still have to pay. Thou shalt not steal still exists and the love of money is still the root of all evil, be content with such things as you have, do not covet do not envy, having food and raiment be content, work hard for your needs not your wants satisfy don’t be greedy and is not every thing you see or hear about you have to possess.

See…if you we’re in the habit of putting God first , you would not be in such situation. I personally do not know you but according to majority of responses from individuals on here you may not seem to be a bad person or you have a lot of wicked friends. What you did was wrong and should suffer the consequences. Stealing is not good and you should know better. The devil is good at tempting us and if we put God first , there is no way the devil can succeed. Don’ t let what is not ours get to us. Read psalm 37

Why can’t we be satisfied with the little that God bless us with. Times are hard you had a job whereas other does’nt have any right now you end up with nothing. Maybe it was’nt her first time who knows. What happens in the dark always come to light.

Is it really necessary to publish photos with a story? I highly doubt that the lady gave permission, so it must have been lifted from the Internet. It is disheartening and this in no way takes away from the fact that she may have done something wrong( innocent until proven guilty).

“For the love of money is the root of all evil while some have coveted after have pierced themselves with many sorrows.”1Tim,6:10 I hope this lady would be repentant. Not sorry because she was caught but sorry because she ultimately offended God and acknowledging the terribleness of her sin. I am pleasantly surprised at the sympathetic comments which were written. I’m wondering would the comment have been different had it been the opposite gender.

Next they will say because Skerrit did not create jobs she had to steal. Dominicans need to stop enying everything they see on American tv.

  21. December 6, 2013

Every one of us have sinned and come short of the glory of god.If any one of us have never sinned ,throw the first stone.when your friend’s beard is on fire take water and sprinkle your’s.It is not only theft that is sin…Dominicans take a nasty pleasure to rejoice when the fellow brothers and sisters fall…what goes around comes around when we list expect it..It might not be you that is laughing but it might be your brothers or sisters.
The most high is there for all of us no matter what sin we commit … We only have to call on him.God knows very well that the devil is there to tempt us ;that is why he said there will be more people in the narrow road which leads to destruction…lady be strong and hold your head up we are not better than you..

      December 7, 2013

Yes, we have all sinned but stealing all that money did not happen all at once . I could understand if she really needed some money and decided to take some and inform her boss about her situation, with the intent to replace what was taken.. Times are hard but still that does not give her the right to steal. She was just being greedy and envious. It does not hurt to beg

Now everybody is going to be looking at us Clerk very closely, but or the rest of let us continue to be a support for each other and lets continue to pray that God will lead not into temptation and that those who have fallen short will realize their mistakes and rise again and walk.

Young lady you are able to rise above your circumstance and be an individual that can impact positively on your life, that of your children and those individuals that you come into contact with directly or indirectly. You are bigger than this; It’s just one page in your story of life.

We must stop jumping to our own conclusions and allow time to correct us. I find the police was just too busy to investigate and arrest this beautiful young lady. After all, it might just have been a mistake in calculation just as it was a mistake in calculation with the so called bin bobol mistake and the land transfer tax mistake as well. But both times, mistakes were corrected and monies were refunded to treasury and there was no need to arrest or investigate anyone for miscalculation. Similarly she should have been given some time to see who she over paid and most likely she would have refunded the extra money. Maybe she would hire that good attorney that is specialized in lost and recovery to help her out. There is always an easy – door out of our mistakes. Let’s treat everyone alike in Dominica and stop tarnishing people’s good reputation for mis calculation.

I know her personally and still in shock. Very sad. You can’t take illegal chances, because sooner or later you’ll always be caught and face the consequences. Gaining easy money illegally seems sweet in the beginning, but always bitter in the end. People still dont learn from the experiences of others. So really sad, especially for her very young children.
