You lot need help, who care swhere you are from. In the West Indies we are all one, why kick your brother when he is down. It’s exactly that type of mentality that will keep both Dominica and St Lucia in the state they are.

Stop name calling, both of you are a mere speck of dust to the rest of the world and there you are fighting over nothing.

Are some of you people retarded. This thing about we more developed than you belongs in a school yard. Intelligent people do not go on like this.

St. Lucia has a serious problem with crime and that is nothing to be proud of.

Dominica has nothing to boast about either. Our homicide rate is worse than many US cities, including LA and Philly.

Instead of spouting such nonsense about who is better, let’s all get our heads together to make our respective islands better places to live.

The islands were never like that before, hence my name, “de caribbean change”. Loving, peaceful, and hospitable and accomodating we were. What has caused that mess in the caribbean today are: (1)the advent of american television in our homes today, nobody tunes in to network CBC in Barbados anymore to watch caribbean programs to educate and uplift, no government-appointed censor to review programs before they go on the air, (2) the ease with which people can travel nowadays, bringing home dirty habits from overseas to the shores, copycats, lost all their morals and values, (3) american and english tourists gracing our beaches nude or half nude, the governments don’t care because they into it too, and (4) listening to dirty rap sounds from america that is nothing but degrading and integrating them into our own music, violently corrupting the minds of the youths today. It is plain to see that this world is not as bountiful as it use to be simply because in man’s quest for success he stumbles on roadblocks.

To the St Lucian abroad, Dominica is still more naturally beautiful than St Lucia, has more to offer and is fast developing. At one time you all tried to sing cadence music and could not get near us, the same was with cricket, the same was with folk songs. So watch your mouth. The only solution is to hang these thugs in St Lucia – bottom line.

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones
Almost all the islands are experiencing the same problem
with crimes. It is a new generation.and the reasons
are very complexed. There is not one specific reason
for these problems. We are our brothers keeper.
Though we should respect each other’s opinions. I am amazed
at some of the comments. Some are so heartless
I just shake my head. Love conquers all brothers and sisters
we are one people. Peace on earth. I am jus saying

It is not complex, the reasons are clear…Our Caribbean countries have the thinking of Sodom and Gormorrah, that’s why the crime rates are soaring. People do not believe in God, judgement day and accountability for their actions on judgement day, that’s why?

The prophet Muhammad said, ‘If you have no shame, then do as you wish.’

This means when you have no fear of God then anything comes after that!

I wonder which country Dr. Francis Severin alias Cohones would compare St lucia with. Fourteen murders in less than two months in 2011? that is crazy.

Any way when your neighbour’s house is on fire get water to wet yours. Take heed dominica.

This is what happens when you have a corrupt and incompetent government. I am St Lucian at heart, and it hurts me to see what is taking place in my island right now. The government is in a mess; we have a Prime Minister who became Prime Minister by chance; very few ministers agree with each other, and a junior minister (not elected by the people) who always speaks out of turn and without consultation with his colleagues. It is my opinion that the nation have decided to do as they wish since the people they elected to government have clearly shown that they have no respect and regard for the laws of the land. This is supported by the recent resignation of Jeannine Compton from the party. I pray that Dominica do not fall into this trap, after all it is one of my favorite Caribbean islands.

This statement about Jesus (peace be upon him) is a laughable one. Jesus will reject your worship on the day of Judgement. Leave our messiah (peace be upon him) out of it! None of you love Jesus (p), it’s all lip service.

For a country once regarded as the Helen of the West and the Cinderella of the Caribbean, it is a shame to see and hear what St. Lucia has turned into – “the mecca murder of the caribbean”. It is high time now to reinstate and re-enforce the death penalty. Putting them in jail is no deterrent either. Applying the death penalty will work as long as you use it each time. The punishment should be commensurate with the crime.

    • St. Lucian abroad
      February 15, 2011

Don’t you think that your statement is outrageous. Haven’t there been murders in Dominica for 2011 to date. You fool stop bleeing like a sheep and while our gown is burning make sure you poor water on yours to ensure it do not catch on fire. Because unlike you, we have a stronger economy in all areas…so watch your tongue…do not refer to a country as “the mecca of murder in the caribbean.” You comments about the death penalty is worthy of consideration. Has it been applied in Dominica yet?

    • Muslim_Always
      February 15, 2011

You must have respect for the holy places of Islam where there is peace and tranquility. If you really hold these degrees it seems that they are just as cheap as toilet to wipe your a** sir. You must put your brain in gear before you run your mouth sir.

Secondly, only Allah has the right to sanction the death penalty. He places man as a trustee on the earth to execute those laws. Since the west do not follow Allah’s laws they follow laws which were made by corrupt men, they have no right to apply death penalty.

      Thank you.

So much for St.Lucia being more developed than Dominica. We must take care that the St.Lucian “experience” does not find fertile grounds here. Last year was bad enough for us

    • St. Lucian abroad
      February 15, 2011

You are right about St. Lucia being more developed than Dominica. The so called St. Lucian “experience” has occurred here in Dominica. The spate of murders/murder suicides cannot go unnoticed for a population of about 60,000 people. Dominicans wake up and smell the coffee. Do you have a plan to fight crime then share it with the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force. I quite agree last year was bad in Dominica. It doesn’t mean that the situation is a recurring cycle in Dominica. Crime has not deterred our development it has just made us more resilient…I will end here.

      • Muslim_Always
        February 15, 2011

Do you St. Lucian have a plan for fighting crime because it seems the crime is soaring? When people are developing their minds develop as well. High rate in crimes means there is a serious retardation amongst the people that needs to be addressed.

      • A.J
        February 15, 2011

St Lucian abroad, there is no need to make these statements. Like you I am a proud St Lucian, but the fact is St Lucia’s crime/murder rate right now is appalling. Comparing murders in Dominica and St Lucia or any other island for that matter will not help the situation. What we need now are solutions to our many problems, not more anger and frustration. We are all Caribbean people we need to come together, support each other, and work alongside each other for the betterment of the region and mankind.

Oh shut up you foolish Lucian. Get off our website!! How you pompous pig trying to diss DA. All the development you have, how many are owned and operated by native St. Lucians. Many of you just work in hotels and other businesses owned by foreigners for minimum wages yet come boasting about how developed you are. The little that we have here, most of us own. Take heed!!

        February 15, 2011

IT’s the Helen of the West Indies and SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL. St. Lucia has almost three times the population of Dominica. Obviously the crime rate will be higher. It is by no means the ” Hell of the West” you would wish to portray it as. Do you know that despite the recent passage of the devastating storm, St Lucia is steadily recovering and economic activity is more bouyant there than in Dominica? I do hope y’all in Dominica have a plan to fight crime…because it sure do not look so. Nice now in the upper cut.

Lucian abroad, why don’t you just shut up and go back to St. Lucia if it’s soo nice there? Why are you living here in ‘poor’ Dominica?

There must be something better here than over there!
