A 35-year-old woman from Stockfarm has been charged for allegedly stealing over $24,000 from Josephine Gabriel and Company Limited.
Andra Pascal appeared before Chief Magistrate Evelina Baptiste this morning (January 23, 2011).
Court reports indicate that the incident occured between July 24, 2007 and September 24, 2011.
She was not required to enter a plea as the matter is an indictable offense which will be heard before the high court.
Pascal was bailed with one surety for $56,000.
Preliminary inquiry into the matter is set for July 2, 2012.
As part of her bail requirements she is to report every Thursday to the Roseau Police Station.
She was represented by attorney David Bruney.

the justice system in DA stinks.. some people names are published based on your consequence in society.. from tarish, no problem.. from St.Aroma they say goodwill.. and if their family surname is big, worse they would just say a young man or woman from so and so..

I’m guessing it’s safe to assume that she’s a former employee and it’s a case of not stealing a large sum but small sums which added up over time. In any case If guilty I hope she kept receipts so she can get that money back
