Vieille Case woman pleaded guilty to firearm offences

Ishma Senhouse, of Vieille Case was remanded in custody at the Dominica State Prison after pleading guilty to the offenses of possession of firearm and possession of ammunition without being the holder of a firearm and ammunition user’s license.

She appeared before a Roseau Magistrate’s Court on Monday 21st, August 2017.

According to reports from Police PRO Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste, at approximately 10:15 p.m on Saturday 19th, August 2017 on the Edward Oliver Leblanc Highway in Massacre the police carried out a search of motor vehicle registration number TL209.

Jno Baptiste reported that the motor vehicle was being driven by Ernie Andrew of Portsmouth.

He also stated that Ishma Senhouse and Kenroy Paul of Portsmouth were the other occupants of the motor vehicle.

Jno Baptiste stated further that Andrew, Senhouse and Paul were jointly charged with the offenses of possession of firearm and possession of ammunition without being holders of a firearm and ammunition user’s license.

They were taken before the Magistrate’s Court in Roseau on Monday 21st August 2017, where Senhouse pleaded guilty to the charges.

She was remanded at the Dominica State Prison until Thursday 24th, August 2017.

The charges were withdrawn against Ernie Andrew and Kenroy Paul.

In an earlier release to the media, the police erroneously reported that Ernie Andrew pleaded guilty to the charges and was remanded at the State Prison. This information from the police was published by DNO. However, the matter has since been clarified. Ishma Senhouse, not Ernie Andrew, pleaded guilty to the charges. DNO apologizes for publishing this erroneous information which was provided by the police.

Was she asked from whom she got them; purchased them; why she felt she needed them; what were her reasons for purchasing them and of her plans for using them?
That is also interrogation which will complete it. The prosecutor should also have asked these questions. Be thorough in your questioning. The public would like to know about these matters.

Sadly, bad company corrupts. These types of people can get others into trouble. If she knew or had thought of it, when she realized the type of people they are, she should have ran for her life. This means disassociating with them.
For obvious reasons, people should fear others who have a gun or guns. In the long run they could have used that same gun to injure/kill her. People must be careful who they associate with.
