Congratulations to the Africulture Steel Walkers on winning band of the year for the consecutive year. The costumes were very innovative.
How do we promote our local music when we have bands on the road and they aren’t even being recognized??
The judges need to vote again across the board. Why didn’t Halibut get first price for his brilliant calypso? Because the judges are afraid of the corrupt regime. “Don’t do it, let them do it.” The best composition and the reality in that song is strong.

That was a very very unfair and poor judging for carnival bands…allu cyah mean to tell me dem stilt walkers win two years in a row dt not a band thats a group…..let them compete against other stilt walkers…..how allu can judge ppl walkin on stick with pol walkin on foot….dey aready above d oda groups..,dha is madness….i really need d judging critirea to be posted so that everybody can know like how it is done in other carnival activities…..carnival is colours….in my opinion the competion was simply between carnival corner and thunderbirds…..
Well that goes to show that your worth is nothing. Can you describe to me what is the meaning of a band ? Didn’t Carnival Corner have a chariot ? Our minds are just too low in this place. So should Hysteria compete with other bands that have feathers ? What are you also saying that bwabwa did not have colors ? You have no idea what you talking about. You sound very ignorant for whatever you are.

More incentives should be given to bands that encourage tourists to come to Dominica! Ministry of culture and min of tourism are not the same ministry!

San sauveur primary was the best primary school band without a doubt. They have been rubbed of the 1st place 2 years running and this is so unfortunate. No way convent prep could compare to San Sauveur, pure rubbery. Is because they not from Roseau? Is it because the judges and organizers children are in these drab bands from Roseau? Stop doing these child such injustice, they work hard too so reward them accordingly. It’s time these things stop.
San Sauveur band was pretty but they needed numbers. Prep beat them on numbers. Big congratulations to San Sauveur
