Contestant number six, vying for the Miss Dominica 2015 title, Patrice Dorsette, 20, of Marigot has promised “great representation” to her sponsors, First Domestic Insurance Company (FDIC).
The sponsorship was made official during a ceremony at the Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC) office on Wednesday 21st January 2015.
Dorsette is the final contestant to be sponsored.
“I am extremely excited today and I would like to say a big thank you to the First Domestic Insurance Company,” she said. “Thank you for seeing the potential in me and for coming on board with this sponsorship. It is truly appreciated and I can assure great representation on the night of February 6, 2015.”
Sales and Marketing Manager at FDIC, Bertilia Bethel who delivered some brief remarks, said the company, which is the first 100 percent locally-owned insurance company, takes pride in celebrating Dominica’s events.
She noted that FDIC has been contributing consistently over the years to various segments of Carnival to include a full sponsorship of a Mass Jamboree contestant, who is now a Miss Dominica contestant.
“We have heeded the call from the DFC and has come forward to contribute to the national queen pageant in the form of sponsorship to Miss Patrice Dorsette,” Bethel stated. “We are proud. I can’t say it any louder of our alliance with Miss Dorsette who hails from Marigot which happens to be one of the few communities that we at FDIC has a physical appearance there through Carib Inter-connect Agency.”
She continued. “We look forward to a sterling performance by Miss Dorsette, culminating to she being crowned Miss Dominica 2015.”
The other contestants in the pageant are: Normanna Jno Baptiste, 24 from Tarish Pit, Keianna John, 22 of Salisbury, Odessa Elie, 19 from Bath Estate, Beyandra Blanchard from Point Michel, Charis Nation, 20 from Castle Bruce, and Kelcia Righton, 21 from Kingshill.
They will compete for the crown on the night of February 6th 2015 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
Why wasn’t the Marigot Credit Union standing in support of Miss Dorsette ?
I congratulate Ms. Dorsette but the make-up is just too much.
ONE LOVE
well well well. thanks be to god they all sponsor..
Congratulations to miss Marigot. Big big big up to First domestic Insurance. The best insurance on land which is local. Marigot Wesley etc. motorist save with FIRST DOMESTIC. Especially those vehicle whose driving along the Douglas Charles (Melville Hall) sea blast area.
Kudos to all the companies who have sponsored! Not sure if its a planning issue but it looks like every year its a race down to the wire for sponsorship. Why can’t we get companies committed to sponsor much earlier? The DFC should try to make a much broader and personalized appeal and sales pitch to companies so they can even have it in their budget much earlier.
Congratulations hun…
About time. She is the prettiest among them all!
I agree. Miss Dorsette has a winning look and smile. Hopefully she will be able to convince the judges she has the full package. Best wishes to all the contestants who are also personify inner and outer traits of beauty.
