People stop hating. This was not a FITNESS CONTEST its CARNIVAL. So you can either take it or leave it. Real women have curves and its all well and good to hide yours, so let those who want to parade theirs feel free to do so. I believe the bands were amazing. Granted some may have been couple sizes small for those with heavy bust. They were beautifully modeled if you ask me. That being said if you can’t at least say one positive thing, then just shut up.

Yes, the colours are beautiful but most of those who wore the colours need to do some work on their bodies and stop revealing their almost naked bodies to the world. Some of our women have just gone overboard with their sizes. We need to encourage healthy eating and exercise in this land. We need to stop following the so-called developed countries as far as eating junk foods are concerned. We know better and we can do better. Let’s uphold the name of our island, The Nature (NATURAL) Island in the Caribbean. We have forgotten how to eat natural foods and have been consuming DEAD foods. As a result, many are obese, have diabetes, high blood pressure, vision problems, etc.,.
We need to follow the path of our ancestors and go back to the soil.

People come in all shapes and sizes. Yes some people eat too much, agreed. But some people work out all the time and are just big boned. As long as you are healthy it’s fine.

Beautiful followed on TV, reception was very good. As a woman I am indeed ashame of some of the women dressing oh no, we have to do better. Behaviour oh my God, I could not believe it. Please all , you are wonderfully created by God, appreciate and have pride for you body. You can enjoy carnival without being nakid. Love always.

Why do women decide to bare it all out and the men are covered?
Some of us women need to show/take a bit more pride in our general deportment…. even though it was carnival.

Dem girls got BBBIIIIIGGGG. I’ve been participating for 43 years and there has been a pound per year it seems. We have to curve this in our country. This is unhealthy and not out culture. We must stop with the imported food and go back to our natural roots.

How can you say that the parade starts at 9 and the feathers bands (all three of them) come out after 11 or maybe even 12.
It was moved to Tuesday because the late starts on Mondays were blamed on Jouvert going late, and now this?

After watching these pics first, I would like to complement the bands for their fabulous display of our culture. My concern is the number of young people who definitely are over-weight and need to pay attention to our Body Mass Index such that for a person height the suggested weight of the said individual. I am aware of Jolly’s Pharmacy fitness programme and hope we all can slim down and reduce the rate of obesity which leads to NCD like diabetes, hypertension etc.
I understand what you are saying about some young ladies being overweight. However, BMI is not a good indicator for black people or Asians because it does not accurately reflect our state body condition. For Asians (not the Indians) most of them would seem underweight, whereas for blacks it makes us seem very overweight. I went to a doc in the US once and the man told me that I need to be 140 pounds in order to be within the correct BMI range for my height. I am heavier than that but do not look overweight. If I ever had to get down to 140 pounds i would look like a skeleton.

It appears everyone who especially participated/played Mas Domnik 2017had an enjoyable time.
The weather cooperated very well. You got beautiful weather; no rain. It helps for better enjoyment during good weather.

lovely colurs for the carnival. i must admit I must say thumbs up to Allex Bruno for his professionalism showed for the big calypso show. You need to train Mr. P. Alas he cannnnnnnnnnnnot host this type of show without calling names. I miss Young Bull and Allex together.
