Wikibuli Communications Inc in association with Mini Carnival Bod La Mer held its first successful ‘Kiddies Quarter Carnival’ on Sunday.
The event was held on the Dame Eugenia Charles Blvd in Roseau, from 12 noon to 5pm.
During the event children and families took to the Bayfront for an afternoon of fun, games and activities in true carnival spirit.
One of the main objectives of the carnival was to give children from all backgrounds a fun-filled day with parents, while interacting with other kids and learning new skills.
The Kiddies Quarter Carnival, the first of its kind in Dominica, featured a wide assortment of games and rides for only twenty-five cents. Games included: ‘Tin Can Alley’, ‘Go Fish’, ‘Coconut Shy’, ‘Hoop La’, ‘Ball in the Bucket’ and ‘Splat the Rat’. Participants won prizes such as educational toys, candy, race cars and blow-up toys.
Other popular attractions that got the attention of kids were bouncy castles, face painting, stiltwalkers, sensays and party food such as cotton candy, popcorn and snow-cones.
A great day was had by all, especially the children, who had smiles plastered on their faces from the beginning until the end.
“The success of Kiddies Carnival was a result of the hard work of the event organizers, partners and sponsors who came together to make the event possible; and most importantly the children and their parents who attended,” event co-ordinator, Sheldon Casimir, said.
All proceeds will go towards a local charity.

it looked like a lot of fun, but did it have to be so loud, why oh why are we trying to deafen our nation.
There was no music at the event. Some may have carried over from the neighboring activities.
Phillip it’s good to see you and the kids. Good effort on the part of the organizers.

why not Carnival City, why the bayfront….explain…
because it was part of bord la mer which takes part on the bayfront.
A great, fun day. Jumping Castles are always a hit with our kids. And uses up a lot of their energy as well.
