Miss Dominica 2016 will be crowned this evening in one of the most highly anticipated pageants of the Carnival season.
The event will take place at the Forecourt of the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
The contestants will compete in five categories: costume, talent, swimwear, evening wear and question and answer.
They are Tasia Floissac, 22, of Castle Comfort; Abigail Shillingford, 19, of Goodwill; Britney Pharoah, 22, of Grandbay; Nawana Shillingford, 25, of Loubiere; Mernel Christmas, 19, of Campbell and Judy Toussaint, 20, of San Sauveur.
Chairperson of the Carnival Queen Show Committee, Romualda Hyacinth, has promised that the 2016 edition of the National Queen Show will be an experience patrons will never forget.
She said the pageant is of high quality, class and is very competitive.

DNO,can you please use the standard way of identifying persons in a picture file. It is normally from left to right. As a result,i have chosen the wrong name to win. I thought the last lady on the right was the last name in your list of names. It turned out that her name was first. That mashes no sense. Anyway,she’s won and I’m happy for her. And the Miss Dominica for 2016 is Judy Toussaint. That was predicted @ 20:52 . It is my prediction based on the way the women look in the pictures. She seems to full of confidence.
