Energy was high and there was an excellent turnout of calypso lovers at Stardom Tent on Wednesday night, according to one of the organizers Leroy ‘Wadico’ Charles.
At the show, Daddy Chess captured the Monarch of Monarchs crown while Big Jeff went home with the Stardom Comedy Monarch title.
The event was held at the Harlem Plaza in Newtown.

Mr. Charles has to make Stardom first night at Harlem look like it was one of success.
Harlem Plaza can never compare with the size of Sisserou. 100 people in Harlem Plaza looks the same as 400 people in Sisserou. People have spoken ill of Bobby as a business man and of the management of Sisserou as well but when you go to people like that you have to realize that these people spend money to maintain their place. Maintainance and utilities are costly and when you as an entity approach these people to use their place as a venue you come with your money to pay. You can’t use their places for free. Mr. Charles claim that sisserou’s management breached a contract when they were never given a written one and were never even presented with a letter from the sponsors stating their wishes to pull out of stardom and their reasons. I know that stardom will not be able to trick Bobby because he will not joke with them for his money just like he did Mas Camp.
God, why did I leave Dominica again?
