The streets of Roseau became alive in the wee hours of Monday morning as Jouvert kicked off the traditional two days of Carnival street jump up.
Bands ranged from Lapo Kabwit to steel band to hi fi.

Where is the College J’Ouvert Graduation band, “you all just showing some “ugly” girls grinning their ugly teeth.
Jouvert has to end by 7oclock, not ten….they have to review the whole carnival…bring back Sunday parade and put back tshirt on Tuesday, serious changes for carnival…they KILLING carnival….get new fresh leadership…
this season was very great i enjoy it till next year not much breast and buttom out this year .some lovely costumes. not much fights thanks dominicans

why not both of them?
o lord teach our ladies to cover their assets and privates during jouvert.help them lord to have a little more self respect,and pride.help them realize that ten years down the road their kids may just be viewing on the tv their nakedness on the street,and they may not be too proud of it
10 years from now their children will be watching on TV and saying, “I can’t believe they use to wear costumes.” You don’t see where the world is heading? Public nakedness is becoming the norm. Our women are slowly losing their self respect and values. I am not against carnival but I could never go out on the street in those skimpy costumes whining and gyrating like that. Ewwww!I have way too much pride and firmly believes that certain things should be left to the imagination. But for my husband in the comfort of our bedroom I would.
Im so proud of being from Newtown/Harlem. These guys know just how to beat the Lapeau cabwit with serious tempo.
It was so nice to see our MP Ambrose again drumming the boom with his people. So manyears we have been starting carnival, first band on the road and in mumbers also.

DNO/COME-SEE TV we should be getting the live link free instead of asking us to pay after all we paid for the Calypso show and look at all the problems we had you apology but that didnt help therefor I would suggest that you allow a free live link .
