I think if one has to be an ambassador for Dominica, then that person’s life story should reflect Domninica.

I am pleased with the way Leslassa speaks.

I really want to encourage our Dominica schools to do more with Domincans re public speaking and speaking intelligently.

But I do not think Leslassa represent Dominica as the other queen contestants do. When Leslassa speaks, I do not receive Dominica.

Ok so she is an ovo lacto vegetarian… That is great personal choice…I do not feel Leslassa connects or relates to me on a cultural level. It means she have not had our cultural dish itself, mountain chicken or any of our other wonderful and healthy Dominican dishes.

Did she mention that she would like to live in Ghandi, the Buddist, shoes?

We are a Christian nation, does anyone of us Domincans relate?

Who or what inspires you? Positive Energy inspires you???? Though it is wonderful to spread
good energy, I give this response 0 points and consider it weak in relation to the importance of this question.

Though Leslassa speaks well, might have been born on the island of Dominica and might have return on visits, I do not feel Dominica from Leslassa.

She seems a complete foreigner with foreign values and in my opintion, fades as an optimal choice of an Ambassador to our great country as compared to the other contestants.

It just doesnt seem like she shares our culture and beliefs…

I could shake your big toe… I agree with you 100%. She is a good speaker but I don’t feel like she is a Dominican!

That is, in all honesty, an interesting analysis of the interview and I wonder if the judges have also thought of this?

All the girls so far have down an excellent job. Though it is indeed a tough competition I had to admit Citronier continues to root for Ms. Armour. I enjoyed the interview.

@ Rescue 911…You sound like an insecure and easily intimidated person….judging someone who you don’t know just because they seem to have great potential. Stop this nonsense and give people a chance to prove themselves!

I think Lelassa will work for the crown . This is one time name will not influence the outcome. If she wins it will be on her own.

Must say competition will be fierce.

      All the ladies look great!

Sorry and I welcome the “thumbs down” but there is something about Leslassa that I don’t like. She seems to “Americanized” for me!
Yeah, “If” she wins, kudos to her but she’s not my first choice.

What do you mean by “Americanized”

    • SMH
      February 7, 2013

      JALOUZIE!!!!

Wherever she lived her life, she have decided to come back to her roots and make a positive contribution. She speaks extremely well and she is very motivated by her will not just to succeed but to improve one’s happiness through self….

Instead of sitting behind a cyber curtain and trying to bash at someone else using such a PATHETIC reason, Why don’t you come up with a platform (SOMETHING YOU ARE VERY INTERESTED IN, if you don’t know what that means) and try making a positive contribution. BUT SINCE YOU DON’T KNOW WHO I AM – I will say just this, I HAVE MADE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND THE BETTERMENT OF PEOPLE IN MY COMMUNITY FOR OVER 10 Years and I feel proud about it. But some of all you Dumini-cans just lovvvvvvvvvvve to find something to hate about another person especially WHEN THAT PERSON LIVED FEW YEARS OF THEIR LIVES OUT OF DOMINICA! … it all comes down to what? JEALOUSY!!!!!!

YOU seem too “Dominicanized” for me if that is your PATHETIC EXCUSE for a reason to not like someone! SMH!!!! AND IMAGINE SOME PEOPLE WORKING FOR WORLD PEACE! PAPA bat, world peace sala kay’ wivay ah tan robot kay take over kon matrix zor kay still goumeh eveh hayee yun de’ lot! SMH!!!

JALOUZIE??? < Please! What is there to be jealous about Leslassa? Human please! I am entitled to my opinion like you are to yours, but what I don't like is the name calling and bashing that happens on DNO. When you call ppl Dumini-cans.. please place yourself in that category!

And since you do not know me I have made positive contributions to my community.. Born, Breed and Raised Dominican!

So, if you didn't like my comment, you are entitled to a thumbs down and keep it moving, don't come behind YOUR curtain and TRY to insult me…. passa work!!
        PATHETIC!

        At T:

YOu still ignorant because it is clear that behind all of your disliking due to the eminent fact that someone is AMERICAN or “americanize” as you put it, whatever THAT means, you should be ashamed of your ignorance and hypocrisy and that’s where I decided to speak to you and refer you as a DUMINIcan don’t make me have to put the other “c” at the end!!!!!

oh and by the way don’t use PATHETIC because then you just referred to yourself as PATHETIC. WHY? you may ask, Because dear you set the foundation I just build the house on ahead of you! SMH! PATHETIC!!

I am an avid pageant lover and I truly believe that Ms. Leslassa Armour-Shillingford is a true representation of what an excellent ambassador for Dominica should exemplify.

I hope/wish she is as strong on the night of February 8th so that she will be crowned Miss Dominica. I have studied the Caribbean queen pageants
For many years and with her talent/skills set and the endless potential she possesses, I see her sweeping All the crowns back to Dominica this year.

    That girl can converse intelligently

Where is Daina Matthew? She should have been included in this video because there is no reason she should be unveiled on her own tomorrow (although you didn’t mention anything).
