Creole Day was observed in Dominica on Friday, October 28, 2016 as part of Dominica’s celebration of Independence.
DNO took to the streets, school and business places to catch a glimpse of what was going on.

Sooooo beautiful!!!! I loveee my country!!!! I love my culture!!! We truly come alive during independence season.
Beautiful pics.
Beautiful! That is the name of my people, the people of Dominica. DNO thank you for showing us
Very lovely pictures especially the children . Dominica is alive for a while and that’s good.
Creole Day Celebrations is beautiful/wonderful. It is worthwhile celebrating.
Celebrations last for one day, probably a few days. Love, peace and unity should last forever.
What crossed my mind, if only everyone would cooperate, live in peace and unity, religiously and politically, this would complete the love among Dominicans. This is badly needed.
Dominicans must pray for this, a Christian-like attitude. We cannot please God otherwise.
So while you enjoy these celebrations, think about it. When it is all over, keep it up and practice the Christian spirit. Everyone will be happier, safer and live in peace and unity. There is no other way year round.
This is my wish for each one of you. Would love to see Dominica excel in this and be a model for other countries.
God bless! Keep safe!
A a! see my grand-nephew legs crossed and all – very sweet little ones!

They should call it “native dressup month” instead of Independence day because the British just pulled out. There was to declaration of independence or fight for independence.
